Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our guide, David, was amazing. Very informative and most importantly very humorous. All in all an amazing trip. Would definitely recommend.

The smaller group is the way to go on these trips. The minibus was comfortable and our guide, Jim, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information. You are on the minibus a lot so be prepared for that, you go a good distance. The stops are fairly short except for the Loch Ness cruise, which is 50 minutes long so you spend about 90 minutes there. The cruise is fine and, since you are there, might as well do it. Other stops are 5 minutes for quick pics at some great scenery. A long day, but overall good one.

A great tour! So many amazing stops along the way and then a bunch more experiences on Skye. Our tour guide, Cliff, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and told lots of interesting stories, both historical and pop culture references about Scotland and our locations. Highly recommend.

A thoroughly enjoyable trip on what was our maiden visit to Nessie’s home!

We arrived at the Clansman Hotel about 13:30, ten minutes before the proposed meet time for the 14:00 trip. Because we had a motorhome we were directed to the overflow car park. No dramas with it in all honesty - a bit of a walk with two little ones but do-able. My biggest bugbear was tourists completely disregarding vehicles trying to get up the hill to the parking area. Very annoying!

Anyway, we took a short daunder down the hill, picked up our yellow tickets from the stall and boarded the boat. Watch out for the low bridge on the path down (speaking from experience here).

The trip was class! Food / drinks available to buy on board (contactless accepted). The Coffee was even by Costa. Toilets easy to get to with plenty of seating internally and outside, on both levels. Good viewing points all over the boat of the loch, the landscape and Urquhart Castle.

Highly recommended for families, although I’d suggest the shorter trip like we did as our youngest was on the turn about ten minutes from the end.

Our tour guide, Marita, was AMAZING! She truly made the experience more enjoyable than it already was. She switched our days since one day was supposed to be really nice and one day was more misty & rainy. We appreciated this so much and it just made the whole trip more enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and personable — she even threw in an additional stop at Fairy Glen for us because it was misty (& to her, therefore more magical!) that day. We have been in Scotland for several weeks and this was the highlight of our trip. Definitely recommend! Our accommodations were nice as well (b&b double room) with an ocean view.

Our tour of the Highlands from Edinburgh was absolutely amazing! Ryan Riley was our guide and tailored the tour for our needs and time constraints in mind. He did a fantastic job and the day was perfect. We cannot thank him enough. We are already talking about our next trip to Scotland and will definitely request to have him show us more of the beautiful country. Thanks again, Ryan! And let us know when you make it to the states. Maybe we can meet up and show you around.

It was a really beautiful trip. It is hard to hear on the boat, but it is beautiful. A quick note: the address provided by Trip Advisor leads you to the incorrect location (nobody's fault; it's just not the address you need to use to locate the meeting point, I.E., the boat next to the parking lot and cafe). I'd make sure to download the instructions and a map of the area for the meeting location because you will lose signal. If you need directions to the meeting location, put in the address for the cafe, and that will take you to the right place.

Isle of Skye was amazing. Our tour guide, Kelly “Queen of Scotland”, made it enjoyable, educational , and especially fun. She is an incredible story teller who has definitely found her calling as a Scotland guide. Highly recommend this tour particularly with Kelly.

This was an amazing tour. There were six of us on the bus so it felt like a private tour. David was a wonderful and engaging tour guide. He listened to our group and tailored the tour to our needs. What a great day!

The bus was clean and comfortable. Stevie B. did a fantastic job. Enjoyed his stories, music and sense of humor. The tour was well timed and we learned a lot about the history of Scotland.

It was a wonderful tour of the Highlands.
Very well organised , with a great driver Brian, and a very good, funny, and very knowledgeable guide , Laura.
The day went very quickly and smoothly, we could relax on the bus listening to Laura telling us about Scottish history and funny anecdotes , and listening to good Scottish tunes ; we saw wonderful scenery and had a fun tour boat on the Loch Ness.
I can only recommend this excursion.

A fantastic, full on day with Willie as we toured ruins, small villages, coastal wildlife & the Chivas Distillery. From the moment of his warm greeting, Willie informed, joked & crafted a pleasurable day. Mother Nature was kind too with spectacular weather. Cheers Willy & Highland Explorer Tours!

Five stars is not enough for this company and our wonderful guide Nathan. It was so nice to be picked up right at our residence and Nathan brought two booster seats for my kids (5 and a very small 8) so they were able to see out the windows. The vehicle was spacious and clean and Nathan had brought a picnic basket full of tasty snacks which was a huge hit with the kids. It was freezing cold and this wonderful man still stopped and took every picture we asked and hiked all through the Highlands with us. Nathan was a wealth of knowledge and we learned so much Scottish history throughout our day together. My husband and I are huge Harry Potter fans and we were able to see Dumbledore's final resting place, the location of Hagrid's Hut and the Forbidden Forest, and we were right on time to watch the Hogwarts Express cross the viaduct. We opted for more Harry Potter locations rather than Loch Ness at Nathan's suggestion and it was absolutely perfect. We stopped at a nice little restaurant for lunch which was delicious and just overall could not be more pleased with our experience. We were planning to go to dinner after our tour and Nathan kindly dropped us off at the restaurant when we were all finished. I cannot recommend this company enough, I believe any tour you choose with them will be spectacular!

Great tour expertly led by Will, his stories about the Highlands and its history were fantastic. Excellent visits to Dunrobin Castle and John OGroats including a local distillery. When the coach broke down on the way home Tonks came to the rescue very quickly. Will found us a local hotel for complementary drinks, a log fire and great views. Almost as if it was planned! Highly recommend this company
