Fabulous location, easy walking distance from Pitlochry high street.
Lovely old buildings, lots of history.
Hazel made us some lovely cocktails which fuelled us up for our tour of the distillery .
Alan was our tour guide. He had amazing local knowledge and distillery knowledge, making it a very interesting tour. The Whisky tasting was great, a good representation of some of the whisky that is made here. All in all a lovely afternoon for a great price. 👍

Blair Castle and Gardens is extraordinary. The Castle grounds and gardens are beautifully maintained and picturesque. The lawns are manicured to perfection. The walled-garden is worth the visit itself, including a Japanese Tea House, many sculptures, and a large central lake with shelters for wildlife and birds. There is a separate pasture for Highland Cattle and a separate enclosure for Red Deer. The castle itself is majestic. The interior furnishings and armory are period specific, the primary hallways and stairways include many paintings and works of art. The central hallways are lined with deer antlers. The great hall and china room are impressive. The gift shop and cafeteria offer something for everyone. On the hour, a piper performs in the front courtyard. Overall, a magical experience.

Visited today to the newly opened café and centre. Great coffee and delicious homemade pastries and cakes. Beautiful centre with lovely staff and a great welcome. Well worth a visit...as well as the great view of course.

We really enjoyed our visit to see The Sound of Music which was absolutely superb. The theatre is such a lovely size for intimate performances, the seats are comfortable with lots of leg room and they offer ‘relaxed’ performances at certain times.
The cafe is very pleasant and staff kindly let our friend wait in there for us with our dog. There is ample parking.
We’re looking forward to Alan Cumming taking over as Artistic Director and to next year’s performances.
    Great and friendly team.

Lovely walk with beautiful scenery .
Great tip from fellow reviewers to walk up the left hand side and down the right .
Left hand side is steep and underfoot lots of tree roots and rocks
Right hand side much easier terrain .
Great circular walk but if not able just use the right hand side .
It had been snowing when we did the walk so very beautiful indeed .

Hired an e-mountain bike (Scott) from Pitlochry Boating Station - very helpful and friendly staff. Great food in the cafe as a bonus! Took the bike through Faskally forest tracks to Killiecrankie. Superb views of the autumn colours and stunning panoramic outlooks of the river and associated gorge (bungee jump from bridge - see photo). Take care if wet, as roots are very slippery and some sections require serious care on narrow sections of the path.

We had perfect weather so disclaimer, but what a view, what a place, what a hike. Convenient parking at two different lots near trail entrance. It’s about 2.5 miles to summit so allow yourself time!

This waterfall is located just outside Pitlochry but is well worth a visit. The walk to the waterfall is quite steep (not suitable for wheelchairs) and mind out for the tree roots!!

We walked the Killiecrankie Gorge along the Garry River and enjoyed the time spent with nature. Start to finish the walk was approximately 1.5 miles. A famous battle occured in the gorge and is noted at several points. There is also a tall railroad stone arch bridge which is very impressive.

Visited today and we sat outside in the garden area as we had our dog with us. The cafe was very busy but service was quick and faultless.
Food was very good and our young kids (6+9) who are fussy even managed to eat.
The lentil & vegetable soup was delicious as was the on site made bread.
Price was relatively expensive however the quality was worth it.
    I would recommend and return.
Also bonus point for being family owned and run!

Great car park at the bottom . £ 3 all day. Toilets also in the car park. Took us 3 hours up and 2 hours down. We went on a very wet windy day but loved it. The last hour is all boulders which could be a bit tricky as were wet. It was a very cloudy day so every time we saw a peak we thought yay we are at the top but this was a false peak as you then saw another. This happened about 7 times. 1,083m high. 2 m under snowdon. I found this one harder than snowdon due to the boulders but so happy we did it. Highly recommend.
