Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We can only say wonderful things about our tour leader Kenny. He is the greatest. Request Kenny as a driver if you can. He is funny. He is kind. He plays terrific (and varied) music in the van which is inspired by what we might see or visit, and he is very informative and caring for all of us in his group. He is also remarkably attentive to the beauty of the Scottish landscape, particularly the sky - almost constantly pointing it out, even in rain showers or clouds. Being November, our weather was unpredictable and daylight was short, and Kenny made the most of 3 amazing days by putting us in great position whenever the sun broke through, or as any rains blew over, or as the sun set. He’s a professional, but mostly he’s fun to be around. This trip is worth your time.

This was my absolute favorite part of my trip to Scotland! I got to see so much of the Highlands and Isle of Skye in 3 days. Mac was an amazing tour guide; I can’t praise him enough. He was incredibly knowledgeable, and I could listen to his stories all-day long. He took care of our private group & safely drove us around in the snow. This tour is a memory I will not forget.

This was truely an incredible experience. First of all we were truely blessed with perfect weather, especially on the second day of the trip. Our guide Will (Bob) was fantastic and gave us bonus sights to see outside the itninerary and enhanced the whole experience.
I've got memories for life from this tour and highly recommend it.

The Dusty Miller, pub with rooms, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge.
My first review for several years!
Stayed overnight in the newly refurbished rooms at the pub. Very comfortable stay.
The staff were friendly and efficient and coped with a group of 80 year olds admirably.
Beer and the food were fine.
Would definitely return the next time we are in Mytholmroyd.

Wonderful 4 day trip, stating in Edinburgh.. Well paced trip, allowing reasonable time to stop at several attractions. We were blessed with decent weather when on the Isle of Skye, and the train ride was wonderful.
What made the trip was our driver/guide Rose. She was a great story teller, with a detailed knowledge of Scottish history. She made a couple of stops interesting with a few "highland props" that she provided. Try and book Rose if you take this excursion.
The Cuil lodge B & B in Uig was a great stay for 2 nights, with splendid hosts and breakfast.

Luke Tours Isle of Skye. Our trip was so amazing he designed the day of our itinerary based on what we wanted to see and then he would add in all these other stops along the way that are points of attraction. He took photos of us all day and even used his drone to take pictures of us. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the history. As we drove around in his executive van he would play music related to the stories and history of the area. He even bought carrots so we could feed and pet the Hairy Coo’s. There was some crazy roads that we traveled on and the whole time my wife and I felt safe. He is by far the best tour guide I’ve ever had! Everywhere we stopped was just amazing thanks to him for taking the time to talk to us before we started our day to zone in to what our interests were. On our way back to our hotel he kept adding little stops even just to pull over to talk about a point of history or the area itself. Luke Skye-Walter is a tour guide machine!!

I'm reluctant to give a poor rating but I feel I owe candor to my fellow travellers.
Clunky unless you start at the beginning and follow in the prescribed loop. Disliked the narrator's voice and, in any case, a Scottish accent would have been better. Most disappointing was the vapid content. And the gratuitous safety warnings were irritating.

Stewart is exactly the person you want to introduce you to the wildlife on Skye. His knowledge and instincts are unmatched, and it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see these animals in the wild, guided by someone so familiar with them.
We had an incredible morning complete with golden eagles, otters, far-off stags, several different bird species, and sheep - boring for the locals, but cute for us tourists!
Highly recommend booking a tour with Stewart as part of your visit to Skye.

Loved our 5 day adventure with Ali P!
Pro: we got to see the highlands in blankets of snow
Con: we missed out on seeing some key places because of said snow… but overall really enjoyed the trip & grateful for the experience!

October turned out to be a beautiful time to take a bus tour from Inverness to the Isle of skye. The leaves were turning gold and partially still in the trees.
It was a 12-hour trip. The bus was not the most comfortable but it was okay. The driver was very knowledgeable and helpful about anything we needed, including a charger for my phone.
We stopped at the usual tourist places and they were actually some very beautiful gifts.
The Isle of Skye itself is just what I had heard, beautiful, wild and windy. Lots of folklore, such as the stream that will make you younger if you wash your face in it. We stopped there but it was too cold to walk down to the little stream so we skipped that part.
We went by the requisite Loch Ness and learned some interesting facts about just how huge that loch is.
The most photogenic part of the trip was the Eileen Donan castle. We did not buy a ticket to go in but partially it was because it was so windy, we didn't want to walk all the way up the little Hill into the castle. It was also kind of cold.
When we got to the north sea, it was very windy. I was taking a picture of my friend on a small, narrow Knoll and it almost blew me off of the top.
12 hours felt a little long but the vistas and the history made the entire trip worth it.

The guides Taff and Sarah were absolutley superb, extremely proffesional and very friendly, exceptional knowledge of the mountains and best routes to use.
Explained all the pros and cons of the routes depending on the weather.
Always had safety in mind and talked you through what is required when attached to ropes, and how to use the equipment properly.
Picked up some useful tips which I now incorparte into my own outings.
    Overall a superb four days.
