- KMGCork, Ireland288 contributionsThis is a great place to walk around and get lost. I recommend going after you've eaten. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to buy everything! It's a pretty big place and easy to get lost in. Lots of good food and things to buy. I recommend going to On The Pigs Back. They've got a variety of meat, cheese, and bread.Written 10 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria N9 contributionsHave lived in Cork for years and only visited today for the first time. It is a beautiful building and well worth visiting. We met the most knowledgable guide, called Michael, who showed us around the Cathedral pointing out all the wonderful historical facts about the church. He was clearly enthusiastic and his love and admiration for the building was clearly evident, which also rubbed off on us. We really enjoyed our visitWritten 3 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Superb place to visit.
Do the guided tour. Barry was our guide. Superb great facts told with a lovely sence of humor. The observatory was a real surprise. The grounds are magnificent.Written 17 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. An ideal place to find all of your High Street needs from budget right up to higher end fair. And dotted around are numerous cafes and eateries giving you ample opportunity for refreshments.
Something for everyone as you meander through the side streets and find your way around.

- Claire V5 contributionsBeautiful Church & fabulous experience not to be missed whilst you’re in Cork.
Climb up to the first floor to ring bells out over the city (we played Hey Jude & Amazing Grace badly) then climb the steps to the top of tower for a spectacular view of Cork. There’s a wall to grip if scared of heights as I am, but well worth going. The staff weee lovely & welcoming. Excellent fun all round.Written 5 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Amanda D4 contributionsLoved the castle. Loved the tour (be prepared for 100 spiral stairs!..you have been warned!) and learning of the history. But the astronomy talk was my favourite! The guide was clearly super interested in her subject matter and was engageable with the kids. A great and unique way to learn about Cork!Written 22 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tent_manIreland116 contributionsVisited with friends and some small kids. Had a great experience with some really sound volunteer tour guides. They took the time to talk to us about the exhibits and tell us the history and fun stories - they were also really nice to the kids.
