Booked the 12.15 Dublin to Tralee last Sunday 17th November. I was looking at the tracker for the 8 o’clock bus from Ennis as that was supposed to be the one that was going to Tralee at 12. I could see the 8 o’clock on the tracker but no bus number. I got over to Burgh quay at around 12 and the bus didn’t show up in the 15 minutes that it was due to leave. Eventually, a driver told us that they were pairing it with the 1.15 to Killarney. When 1.15 came, there was no sign of the bus. At about half past, a bus that had been sitting at the bus stop for ages came and took us all on. We left at about quarter to 2, with the bus full to the brim. When we got to the red cow, we were transferred on to a double decker, which was pretty packed out as well, though it emptied out in Kildare Village. The journey was supposed to end at 4.40 and we only got into Limerick around then. By the time we were in Tralee, it was near 7, so we were 2 hours late getting in. There was a load of passengers outside the bus waiting on the 5.30 to Dublin. As I got off, they changed drivers and I heard the new driver say that they had to go to Killarney, so not only were the people that had just got off delayed, the people waiting to get on were also going to be delayed by at least an hour. This is a classic Dublin Coach thing, I won’t be travelling with them for a while again but there is unfortunately people who rely on them to get to work and college and this is what they have to deal with. Disgraceful.
