Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I don’t usually book tours so this was a first but we booked this for ease the day after St Patrick’s day and had the BEST time. Such a nice drive through Burren and over to the Cliffs of Mohar! The weather wasn’t fully on our side but we still loved it and managed to get some good photographs in. We stopped to see caves and a castle along the way which was a bonus and our guide John B was the best part of the trip! He was so friendly and gave us all the info along the journey. Smile on his face the whole time which made it feel like he truly was happy to be their with us even though he probably does this every day. Honestly would 10/10 recommend. Thanks for showing these two Canadian gals around :)

We really enjoyed this tour! Gary was our driver and guide. He provided great info about the sites along the ride and Irish history. He was also very funny! Lunch at the pub in Doolin was lovely and we lucked out and got gorgeous weather for our stop at the Cliffs. Couldn’t have asked for a better day !

Great informative experience lead by driver and educator, Michael! He had many stories to add to the sights we saw and lead us to many photo opportunities! I highly recommend this company and the tours.

This is an unforgettable experience - a day in Connemara. Beautiful views, amazing castles. Special thanks to Tommy, our driver, who was also our guide. He did his best to make the journey full of interesting facts and jokes! Will try to come again in summer.

This tour was one of the high points of our trip to Ireland in October.

The Lally Tour bus, which started just two doors down from our hotel (The Park House Hotel) normally carries about 16 people but on that particular day only my wife and I had signed up. The tour manager nevertheless let the tour proceed. One advantage is that we got to talk more conversationally with Michael, the tour’s driver/guide, and he was great. Michael was friendly, respectful and had a weath of knowledge. He couldn’t have been more welcoming.

There was a bit of dampness in the air around Aughnanure Castle, but not enough to slow things done. (We learned that the day before the roads around the Castle had flooded out, and that that day’s passengers had not been able to tour the Castle grounds.) At the Castle, Giles, another great guide, gave us a very informative talk on the Castle’s history, with special attention to its architectural details (details that we would have missed just looking at the structure with uninformed eyes.) The winding stone stairs inside the Castle to the third floor are steep but we found them manageable.

We later visited the Joyce farm where sheep dogs are trained to follow verbal commands (and as a bonus we were able to play with half a dozen or so puppies who were sheep-dogs-in-waiting.)The owner gave a short but entertaining talk about his dogs and his sheep, and then set one of his dogs up the hill to round up and bring down a dozen or so sheep. It was very impressive. And the Connemara countryside was truly breathtaking throughout the day.

Michael then drove us to Cong, making stops here and there to let us take pictures at sites where the movie The Quiet Man (1952) with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara had been filmed. (We had seen that movie and remembered it well; if you do take this tour, and haven’t seen that film, I’d recommend trying to see it somehow.) In Cong, we ate at lovely café that Michael recommended.

My wife and I had a wonderful time on this tour, and recommend it highly if you visit the city of Galway.

This was a fun tour to not only get to know the highlights of Galway history, but also to taste a bit the city via drink and food! Barry was our guide and he was fun, informative, and fit our group dynamic beautifully. We lent him our group’s whisper quiet headsets, and it I think made the tour that much better, as we were a larger group, and no one missed a word.

Eammon was just fantastic. From the get go, he communicated well, was flexible, timely and a great guide. Living in Dublin, he started the tour information in a very conversational way talking us through a couple highlights on the way out of the city. Our tour was 7 people going to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway and back, with a stop in a traditional Irish pub for lunch. He played lots of different Irish music and discussed along the way, which was a great use of time and stopped to show us several other local and non-touristy stops along the way. He answered our questions, both historical and cultural, with great knowledge and was a delight to converse with. The van was very comfortable. Highly recommended!

I didn't have to worry about anything for six days except getting wet in the Irish rain. Our driver was Vincent. He was witty and like a shepherd. Nobody was ever in danger of being left behind, even the late ones. :-) I was concerned about the age difference (we are 45/47 years olds). We took the cheaper backpacker option, and I was concerned it make a wild sleepless tour. We were upgraded complimentary a couple times to B&B when the numbers were right, and I paid once for an upgrade. The beds were better than I expected, even in the backpacker accommodation. I'd say the age range was 20 to 65 years old on our 6-day tour. I would guess the average passenger age was somewhere between 30 and 40 on my trip. Yes, we would definitely do Paddywagon Tours again, but next time we will probably be in our 50's so we will definitely spring for the B&B option.
