Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely fantastic. Was not expecting much but was really pleasantly surprised. About a 500m walk to the top on a sloping but easy path. Lots of groups of rock formations and you can climb up wherever you are comfortable to do so. Beautiful view and lovely to see lots of kids having fun. Nice little cafe at the top with outside seating and toilets. Take a snack if you prefer and sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Really lovely gardens. Easy to navigate but with lots of interesting areas. Stopped for a coffee in the garden but there is also a large Betty’s at the entrance for which you didn’t need to pay to enter. Worth the entrance and I am sure most locals would just buy a membership. Gift shop in the garden with really interesting and well made local crafts, as well as the large RHS gift shop.

Wife , pooch and I had a very pleasant walk early one morning.. signs said dogs must be on lead but quite a few weren’t.. didn’t really cause a problem, met some very friendly people and took us an hour to walk round. It’s a nice clean park, some good areas if you have young kids..

What an amazing property. The direct links to our country's history was interesting and quite exciting. Our guide, Clare, was brilliant and very engaging.

We have visited this small traditional theatre on a number of occasions. This was the first time that we had seats in the Balcony. Whilst the show was very good, vision from the Balcony is restricted by a safety rail and also the top of images projected on to the rear of the stage were not visible, nor is the front of the stage. These points are not mentioned when buying tickets. We decided not to buy tickets for a future show, where only balcony tickets were available because of the restricted view. However, the theatre overall is still an asset to the town.

I went with my mum for a walk around fewston and ended up fewston and swinsky reservoir.we took a stroll around and it took us about 4/5 hours.the views are beautiful especially in autumn and winter time and we will be going back in summer just to see how it changes through the months.plenty of benches scattered around incase you need a breather.fewston reservoir is more of a vigorous walk as it’s a little hilly but not too much whereas Swinsky reservoir is flat all the way around and also has a picnic area and a place to feed the ducks.good place to fish too if that’s what you are wanting as we saw a few people fishing around swinsky.I would highly recommend for a nice walk.plenty of parking and only about 10mins by car from otley..

Visited The Stray for the first time and we were amazed by the cherry blossom display on the avenues of cherry trees. I understand the blossom only lasts for a couple of weeks and so we were lucky to see the display. The area is mainly open grassland and a fine place for families, dog walkers and nature lovers. Visitors travel from far and wide just to be photographed amongst the cherry trees in blossom. It’s close to Harrogate centre and so easily accessible.

Went with a few of my pals, got very wet with the rain however, I bought a coat there for a reasonable price which kept me warm. Shops everywhere, with everything you could think of related to the countryside. Brilliant atmosphere and the shows were interesting to watch ! However tickets were expensive

We were greatly impressed with Harrogate and would definitely like to visit again. Sadly we were able to spend only a few hours there, but loved the beautiful gardens and interesting buildings.

A grade 1 church and I can understand why. Caught a mid week communion service. The priest was fantastic - he should have been on the stage. An interesting walk to the church past Harrogate Ladies College and huge elegant houses.

Has this place changed hands? There used to be party bags, you could take food home that hadn't been eaten, but you'd paid for. Very disappointing. Pizza and chips? Is that the menu.

We had the most amazing time, even though we chose to do the most difficult CSI Room, and didn't quite 'escape'.
We are four 50+ ladies, with very little 'escape room' experience, so where very appreciative of the extra 'guidance' we were given and very pleased that we were only a few minutes away from fully solving the clues and escaping.
The staff were great, the experience was great and we can't wait to visit a ClueHQ Escape again soon - Thank you
