Many of the exhibits can be touched and explored, making it so much more real somehow than traditional museums.

Only open Wednesday - Saturday, this splendid Museum and Art Gallery in the Old Town is free and very under-rated.

I have visited the Richard Jefferies Museum repeatedly (a few times a month) over the past 2 years for various events - The Swindon Poetry festival, Writing workshops, Poetry workshops, Family arts and craft event...
It's incredible how this small museum has become so large to so many people and I can only see it getting more important as it offers more nature, literature and magic to all who visit.
