Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The best bar in Milton Keynes. Amazing cocktail, good music and lovely bartenders. I highly recommend to come for 2 for 1 or for the night on Saturday to enjoy atmosphere.

Just introduced two friends to the Eager Poet. They were very impressed with the quality of food and the service. The soup delicious, as was the rest of the meal. Thank you very much.

Not what it says on the tin. It’s more a club for young people. However, as a straight, older couple who used to enjoy clubbing, we unexpectedly found ourselves going to Pink Punters. Didn’t seem like a 🏳️‍🌈 club, more a general night club. We had a great night. Reasonably priced drinks.
Served quickly at bar, able to move around easily, made to feel really comfortable by security, especially Danny- thank you. Danced till dawn with the youngers. Really enjoyed ourselves

I was staying in Oldbrook and decided to get out the house. The Cricketers over looks a park. Nice terrace to sit on on a sunny day. I had gammon and chips and apple crumble with pint and a half of lager for £20. Very bright pub with attentive staff. Food was hot and beer cold. Only gripe telly with football on was loud. Fairly boisterous atmosphere. Thank you.

A lovely quaint Free House with guest ales & ciders. The function room or ‘Disco Shed’ at the back has regular events which include: Monday nights every two weeks: Jazz @ The Cannon. Tue: Quiz night. Thur:The Sunset Lounge, Open mic Night. Sat:Meat Raffle and 1st Sun every Month -'That Time Of The Month' comedy night Plus other events such as the annual beer festival. Really lovely and friendly people and a big TV for the sport. Out the back is a smoking area and tables for groups of people to enjoy the sun. A wonderful little pub.

Friendly enough on a busy Saturday. It's a short walk from Milton Keynes station. We just popped in for a quick pint. I chose a tasty pint of Bowman, Black Drop. Plenty of light in here due to all the windows. Made a pleasant change from some others in the chain which are often clad in dark wooden panels.

The North Western is a great pub, probably the best in the Milton Keynes and Wolverton area. The staff are really friendly, know their job and are completely bar and people savvy (unlike many bar staff in the area). The food is very good and the breakfast and Sunday lunch are well worth a visit. Good ale and beers, plus plenty of other tipples to enjoy. A great old pub with its own character and plenty of people with character to talk to. This is the best highlight in Wolverton and is part of the history of this railway town. I love it!

Great night for Eyehategod. Loved the metal karaoke in the bar too!

Staff nailed it considering how busy it was.

    Great pub

I was visiting someone in the town on a weekend and needed a base to sleep and shower. Having read some of the reviews elsewhere I was a little concerned as to what to expect, but happily it exceeded expectations, being clean, comfortable and having no problems with the shower (once I worked out how to turn it on). I would definitely stay again
As people like to complain, you DO get noise from the pub customers but that is to be expected when staying in a pubs grounds. It wasn't awful and I managed to go to sleep easiliy. The bed was a little soft for my liking, but I still slept well for 7 hours.

The club itself is great, music is good, drinks not too bad, and for a birthday night out my mate really enjoyed it. The thing that ruined it was the bouncers at the end. As we were leaving there were 6 well built bouncers punching and carrying out a 19 year old lad who had nothing to him. The use of force that the bouncers used was ridiculous. They threw him outside to the ground where he hit his head on the pavement and lost consciousness. Me and my friends being first air trained ended up treating him as the bouncers wouldn't help, even when we asked for some water. A good night out, but they need to review who they employ on the door

I popped in here on a baking July evening. It's one of a number of old pubs on the Stony Stratford High Street.

It's an L shaped bar with very much a 1970's feel about it. (And I don't mean that in a bad way).

Staff were pleasant and I had a most welcome cold lager. It's maybe about due for a makeover.
