Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- John B8 contributionsWe spent a fantastic full day at The Black Country Museum - it's completely unique, providing a really immersive insight into the region's industrial heritage, brought to life through demonstrations and activities that were fun for the whole family.Written 3 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The forest is full of wildlife, the clay pits is at the bottom of a big pit which creates a micro climate for the various pond life in the clay pits. A scenic view of cliffs and rocks in the floor of the pit. The reservoir has lots of bird life on it and is accessible to all .Written 30 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's not too big but having said this they have lots of different animals there. Each enclosure has a little story about the animal which is lovely, especially as they are all animals which have been abandoned.
You're able to feed some of the animals which is nice. Nice area to have a picnic in. Only downfall is it isn't the most pram/buggy friendly. Few areas which are uneven and slightly steep but manageable.
For the price you can't go wrong, and knowing the money goes towards the abandoned animals is worth while.
Lots of parking which is free too.
Will definitely be visiting again in the future.Written 2 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a golf course there but I don’t know anything about that- there is a cafe and toilet near there. For the new play area, your park up. Look for the hall/house- there was a little cafe out of one of the windows and outside seating, there could be a toilet there I didn’t go in. Walk at the side of the house and the new play area is at the back of the house. There isn’t many seats so take your own, picnic etc. the play park is great but if you have mobility issues it’s a bit of a hassle. Larger equipment for older children and zip wire . There was some dinosaur’s but I didn’t really look for them! Two ice cream vans, three lollies £7.50. Some shade areas. The park is lovely to walk around, dogs on the park- kids on bikes and scooters! Lovely area- just get your walking shoes on!Written 10 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joe Sullivan6 contributionsWe had a fantastic day out visiting the Park Inn and Holden's Brewery for our tour. Debbie was a funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide who walked and talked us through the rich 100-year+ history of this family-run business, its Black Country heritage, and the in-depth brewing processes that create some of our favourite local ales. The bar staff were very friendly and the tour experience itself is also phenomenal value for money - with a full guided tour of the operating site and its historical equipment, a selection of tasting 'sticks' (1/3rd pints), a selection of "nibbles" (which was actually a full Black Country platter!), a souvenir beer jug, and a bottle of beer for the road! Would absolutely recommend this unique and enjoyable trip for any ale enthusiasts or visitors to the area.Written 1 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HarrysuBirmingham, UK34 contributionsMy 4 year old grandson and I visited recently and weren't disappointed. He loves dinosaurs and fossils plus the 'Find Me' sheets meant he was able to explore in great detail, only a few people there meant we were able to walk around with ease. He enjoyed finding Perry, the Games mascot and completing the large jigsaws.
Only concentrated on this part of the museum, it is only small and our visit lasted about 90 minutes but enjoyable.
Easy to locate, free parking, would be nice if postcards/memorabilia could be available to purchase.Written 12 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
