- Sophie V3 contributionsWow what an adventure. Finally I can go out on a Sunday night without weirdos. The music fab, the vibe yum, who can complain? Not me! We deeply enjoyed the music and the amount of space there was. However, on the deck next to the stage, it’s pretty hot there I don’t recommend dancing on the side of the stage because of the heat. Sure we appreciated the heat however for January it was a shock to the system. A medium wine is £4 BARGAIN. - Tierney S2 contributionsThis was probably only my third time going but I love this bar. I’m a massive musical theatre fan so that helps but the drinks are delicious. I recommend the maraschino cherry one. They have a relatively loose definition of musical when it comes to the songs they play but that’s part of the fun for me. We returned just after happy hour finished and purchased the same drinks and this time it was ÂŁ19.50. This was mid week when the bar was extreamely quiet. When we go there at weekends the when it is busy and they have a DJ on or an event the drinks cost around ÂŁ12. Large groups are usually found inside Vanilla, with a very familiar feel between all customers. This place was right by the canal and had a lovely outside area so we took a table there.
So far so good. The service was really good from the two guys behind the bar and There is a nice atmosphere about the place.
Unfortunately, the drinks weren’t great. Their own brand lager was really flat and the Guinness not especially good. It may just have been bad luck on this occasion but it would make me think twice about going back.

Don't know why i bothered, my friends (after much warning) wanted to try G-A-Y. The same thing happened again. 'you cant come in your not a regular' well how do you become a regular if you can never get in, then 'youre too drunk' thats funny as its my first drink of the day. The attitude of the bar is disgusting.. the bouncers are vile. its always empty, yet no one can get in. money laundering front maybe? something doesnt add up.

It's SPARKLE and you're THE Tgirl BAR in manchester! Was told the 3 floors were being revamped for karaoke eto but COME ON. It was SPARKLE! Hadn't been for 18 months. Went upstairs to the venue and I personally ordered a few drinks from a nice chap at the bar with no problems but one of our friends mentioned how much their price of drinks was and we thought maybe there was an error. She went back to the bar just to ask if it was correct or not (she wasn't 100% sure if maybe they'd accidentally heard double or something instead of single as it was really loud so she just wanted to check). Anyway it wasn't the same guy that had been serving us before, this one was quite tallish dark haired said he was the bar manager and she was accusing him of being "sh## at his job" and a "con artist" just because she asked if she could ask the price of her drink incase there had been a mistake. He said if she carried on questioning him and making him look stupid he could get her removed as he's in charge and what he says goes, it was the strangest thing we've ever seen he seemed really mad for some reason don't know why.
Anyway we thought no point in staying here, loads of good places to spend our hard earned money in the village so we drank up left and had an amazing night in the other bars, no problems in those and had a ball !!
