Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Leighton SCwmbran, UKI visited Manchester solely to check out three tap rooms, with Cloudwater being one of them. I only ended up making a flying visit here due to potential riots in the city on the night (during a period of unrest in the UK) so they had to close early for safety reasons. But I had to write a review due to the kindness of the staff. I had time for one beer here, and purchased two cans to drink in my hotel room. I was then offered another can for free as an apology for shutting early after making the journey from South Wales. A nice touch, and I'll certainly be returning soon for a proper visit.Written 10 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GusCraigStockport, UKCalled in on a Thursday night for a couple of beers after work. Great range of ales and the bar staff were great at advising on which to go for, seemed quite a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There is a beer garden with a wood fired pizza oven and the location is ideally suited for the temporary and new bus station.Written 5 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David nManchester, UKAt the end of a small industrial estate, this taproom is a showcase for a local Manchester brewery. And what a showcase it is with around 20 beers on tap, most of which are from this brewery. Very well-recommended !Written 19 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- In a weekend trip we did a Friday night walk to get our barring.
Stumbled on a road full of pubs. Saw this 1 it took our fancy a beer pub. :-)
Small well decorated pub. Specialist beers.
Wow great!
Yes some little pricey but after the Saturday pub hopping these prices are a good price.
Lovely atmosphere.

Anyhow, they do have other beers on (around 8, I think).
The bar forms one side of a square with the other units taken up with food stalls so a great mix !
Be aware that they do NOT take cash ! Only cards.Written 8 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
