Musee Memoires 39-45 Plougonvelin
#2 of 1,449 things to do in Brittany
As a child I used to play in my grandmother's air raid shelter but to experience the set-up in this museum, for it's real purpose, was unbelievable.

Along with a very well kept traditional park with lots of green space, there is also an excellent kids play area with great equipment.
It is very popular with dating students from the nearby college, sunbathers, children and parents, runners etc but plenty of space for everyone.

The kids were enthralled as to how all the machines work, and loved exploring the topsy turvy buildings.
Perfect for toddlers and families!
Plage du Sillon Saint-Malo

we love saint- marlo it's one of our favourite places it the world for a chilled long weekend with the kids! and amazing wine and food.
In summer it's a fantastic, benign family beach - in Winter/High water it's a beast with huge waves breaking over the sea wall.
L'Aquashow Audierne
#43 of 1,449 things to do in Brittany
Kids really love exploring, highlights are the giant crabs and eels, the hands on tank and the aqua show.
The restaurant was lovely too, eating a lovely meal overlooking the water and wildlife, very reasonably priced and very child friendly - great for people with limited French speaking skills.
Cote de Granit Rose Cotes-d'Armor

I was even able to bring my young children (5 & 7) with me on some of the rocks.

Make sure to ask if the tour guide speaks English.... Kids loved the history.

Great for families, couples and anyone wanting to explore the Brittany beaches
let your children enjoy nature and run in the sand an along the coast, you can teach them some history at the same time.

Great views of the water, the swimming pool at the shoreline, sailing classes for young children, like ducks in a row following the mama duck.
Art galleries, gift shops, cobbled streets, the Intramros is truly enchanting for the whole family.

Ile Callot Carantec
#35 of 1,449 things to do in Brittany
We went out 30 mins before time on chart and waded short distance adding to adventure for kids and also you avoid crowds.
We walk from Carantec to the island; but if you have little children better do it on your bikes and don't forget to bring a picnic or a bucket to collect cockles on your way back!
Le Phare du Paon Ile-de-Brehat

We live near Dartmoor and he was sure he'd seen enough granite to satisfy him but we were all like big kids as we scrambled to find a perfect quiet spot among the boulders to set up camp for the afternoon.
Children had a great time exploring all the little paths.
Ile de Berder Larmor-Baden

Very windy so be prepared and if with baby/toddler best way to visit is with hiking backpack, strollers limit the areas to visit and some places a bit risky for younger children.
This time, I was able to show my parents, brother and sister in law and my children what I fell in love with back in 2010.
Ile de Batz Roscoff
#34 of 1,449 things to do in Brittany
Would love to return and hire a cottage for a week for a totally secluded and relaxing break with the children surrounded by clean and clear unspoilt beaches.
It costs 27euros for a family of four (2 adults 2 children).
Broceliande's Garden Breal-sous-Montfort
#92 of 1,449 things to do in Brittany
Of course, there are perfect gardens and plants (roses garden, Japanese garden) but also many activities for children: unusual playgrounds, rope slides, walk “wake up your feet” to walk barefoot over different mat...
Then we start around 1pm, it was quite crowded with a lot of summer camps kids but in fact inside, all was ok as the park is quite big.
Cap d'Erquy Erquy
#10 of 1,449 things to do in Brittany
This place is an absolute gem, easy to get to, family friendly beaches that are extremely clean, the sea is fabulous and great for children.
There are however trails marked for people with pushchairs and children so that everyone can enjoy the scenery.

My wife plucked this off the map we had as an interesting sounding place for a day out, our family of four including two boys aged 9 and 5 visited recently from our base in Benodet, a 30 minute drive away.
We came here as an extended family of 11 (kids and adults).
Parc tropical Saint Jacut les Pins

A great family visit especially with young children.
They also loved the bouncy house and the ability to run around like kids in a zoo type setting.

The views from the castle ramparts were amazing and the kids loved being able to explore the castle grounds with all its nooks and crannys.
The guide is a great way of finding out about the history of the castle and is interesting enough for history buffs like me as well as my children who listened to all of the entries too (a miracle).

There are still the beautiful summer homes owned by old families.
La Pointe des Poulains Belle-Ile-en-Mer

For about 80 euros each way for two adults and a child (passing your car is really expensive) you get access to paradise.
