This stunning cathedral exceeded our expectations. The gardens add to the beauty of the setting. We were surprised to see a large movie being filmed her during our visit.

This is another very attractive structures in the Bordeaux region--there are a lot of them and they can all merge together after a while. This one has a great exterior and interior.
Be certain to put it on your list of things to see.

We visited in August when the flowers were in full bloom. This is a beautifully kept garden and well worth a wander around when in Bourges.

Glad to stumble across Les Nuits Lumiere as we walked back to the hotel from dining. As a consequence, we made an intentional effort to walk to multiple venues the following night.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful and I think they spoke English if you needed it. They pointed out the places that I should visit in the city, which by the way, is very attractive and well worth a visit.

The chocolate is amazing but so are the macarons as well as the Les Kouignettes - not sure what the name means but they are light & flaky, in sweet & savory flavors. They also have nuts & brittles if chocolate isn't your thing. Outstanding treats!

Formal garden with hedges and borders some in need of repair and replanting but pleasant to walk around.

A free museum that you should visit for the beautiful (albeit eclectic) location - a rich family's house, between medieval and renaissance, with interesting decorations fitted in a tight space.

This is a small church for Mother Mary and is in the heart of the city. Unfortunately, French service only.

Especially the roman gravestones (stelae) collected from local sites. Paintings a bit grim for my taste but the references to local history very good.

Fabulous old house - once the Town Hall -bought by a local artist to show off his collection ( of his own stuff) it is quite interesting if you ignore the fact that he was heavily influenced by his peers, Picasso etc.
Do not try and take photos inside, for some reason they think it is copy-write or something .Quite fun doing so and timing the wait for the selfie police to arrive ( CCTV everywhere!)

It's hard not to be emotionally affected by the contents and stories of the brave people commemorated here.
A bit more background information in other European languages might attract more interested visitors.
