Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were on a Riviera Travel trip to Paris booked through Westoe Travel with a brilliant tour guide Johnathon. Touring around Paris Johnathon told us so much about Paris and the Eiffel Tower. When we had some free time as we were near the Eiffel Tower we thought we would call in. We must have come at just the right time as we did not have so long to wait for our tickets and then to wait before the lift. It was also a lovely clear day. What a brilliant experience something we will probably never have the opportunity to do again. The only down side was the adults who cannot control their children but you could probably say this about a lot of places.

Our guide was amazing. The museum is so large and there are so many incredible works of art to see. Need a few days to see it all!

The most famous of the Notre Damme churches. We also saw it in Brussels and Luxembourg.
The museum here is truly magnificent. Movies were made in his name.
An important church of the Catholic world.
However, there was a fire last year. Even the crown of Jesus was here. I watched a documentary about an attempt to save him.

This magnificent iconic building should be a must see and do whilst in Paris. As we had only a photo stop, couldn't took the steps to go top. Very unfortunate. But such a beautiful historical monument in the middle of traffic chaos! There is also the ooportunity to buy gifts and there are printed guides in many languages. Also take time to also delve into the history of the Arc de Triomphe and those it commemorates and salutes.

Stunning basilica in Paris, views are amazing, funiculaire is a good idea.

Only thing: don't get stringed. Near the end of the square below are some scammers, avoid them.

Be prepared for potential neck strain from all the looking up! And around. And down to the ground. WOW!
There aren't sufficient words for the architecture, art, marble carving and all the rest. Unforgettable!
Tip: across the street from the front steps, and off to the left, is the "fancy" Starbucks with its ornate decor. Enjoy!

It was a great idea to pre-book my combined ticket (Sainte-Chapelle and Conciergerie) for 9AM: After my brisk morning walk, I reached the entrance at 8:30am and was #6 in line. Waited for thirty minutes, looked back and realized that the line has grown exponentially.

I had been to Sainte-Chapelle back in 1997 on our first trip to Paris, so I knew what to expect, but my breath was taken away yet again. The chapel’s magnificent stained glass windows revive the Book of Genesis, every window has its own tale to tell…The Sistine Chapel in the Vatican and the windows of Sainte-Chapelle are the best in delivering the story - the Book of Genesis comes to life and not just for devoted believers. It took me about an hour to enjoy the bright colors and intricate etchings of the stained glass windows and take pictures. The first ten minutes inside were the best: there were no crowds at all.

Amazing majestic bridge providing fantastic views of central Paris and amazing scenery along the Seine. The grandeur of the brige is truly impressive and has to be the best of all the Paris bridges. Take a stroll over!

We had a fabulous 2 1/2 hour walking tour in Le Marais with Viator’s tour guide, Ugo.

Ugo has a post graduate degree in history and speaks many languages. His love of history really enlivens your tour.

He found our interests and focused what we saw and learned based on them.

He’s personable, engaging, and very well educated.

We are an elderly couple and he paced us at an easy-to-walk rate, incorporating having us sit and learn a couple of times.

Having a private tour geared to what interested us was an excellent choice and Ugo made it happen.

Montmartre is a charming and picturesque neighborhood in Paris, famous for its artistic history, bohemian atmosphere, and stunning views of the city. Visitors can wander through narrow cobblestone streets, visit quaint cafes, and explore bustling squares filled with street artists and performers. Moulin Rouge cannot be avoided.

Built by Henri IV as a harmonious development for the well-to-do. The gorgeous square has never lost its panache. The sides match, the fountains flow, and even in cold weather, lots of people come here to enjoy, or to shop or eat under the arcades. Some nice hotels here, and Victor Hugo's house. It always takes my breath away.

Lots of religious buildings here, some museums and some pretty little parks. It has evolved into an upscale neighborhood with great shopping and eating. Good place to look for antiques, but beware, prices can be high. Also the HQ of the publishing industry in France. Take a guided tour, like we did.

Brilliant experience! Staff were extremely polite and kind, and the pizza was absolutely brilliant! (Some of the best I’ve ever had). Toilets were clean and nice and we were given a complimentary shot at the end of our meal! Would definitely come here again, and I recommend it to anyone.

One of the most famous, if not the most famous, cemeteries in Paris. Worth a visit. Hours vary and it's a large place to visit. Great views over the city and a place stooped in history beyond just the burial of many. Known as the final resting place for many famous people including Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, etc.. Be respectful as there are many locals and family members who come to pay tribute to their own families and it remains very much an active cemetery. Thus, don't consider it a tourist attraction by any stretch - it's a burial ground and should be respected as such. No fee for entry. There are bathrooms at the western entrance/exit. Take your time, read about it ahead of time and you'll find there's more than meets the eye. Highly recommend taking one of the organized tours to get a truly solid grasp of it all.

It’s very busy, even in the middle of winter. Some exteriors, such as LV, are very impressive. Not necessarily a good place to shop for the “average” person, but worth a look.
