The all day tour was worth it to see Antibes, Cannes, and Monaco. As a plus, the transportation was very comfortable and new.

The ferry trip is a short crossing but presents a fabulous view of the bay. The island has some beautiful natural features and pine and Eucalyptus aromas. Lots of options for swimming and snorkelling although the beaches are busy. My only complaint is the island signposting is not very helpful so its best to plan ahead and make sure you have a paper map or access to a map on your phone to make the best use of your time. 4G mobile signal is good on the island. The "underwater museum" is 84m from the shore, so for confident swimmers only. Matt let me know he was a little delayed in traffic when picking me up, and I really appreciated that. I found his driving a little scary sometimes, but maybe that's just normal driving on the Cote d'Azur. We were a small group, which was really nice. Matt is very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and he throw in all sorts of interesting facts. He's also really good fun. There was only 1 ship going out, and only 1 ship coming back to Cannes. Many things were closed, not sure if it was because it was Lundi (Monday) or time of year (early December), meant we had the places to ourselves but not as much to see (shop, eat). His car was very comfortable and he spoke very good English. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the area and shared that with us. We had time to spend on our own in many of the stops. We definitely want to go back to France after spending the day with Alex showing us the highlights.
