Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful, you have to see it to believe it even exists. Go during the summer as it was raining and bitterly cold in December.

Interesting Renaissance architecture and wonderful scenery along the canal and river. The adjacent garden area was really nothing. Fabulous old Town nonetheless.

La Tournette is one of the best hiking I've done !

It's neither easy nor difficult. You just need to have a minimum hiking experience as haut-savoyards and have the appropriate equipement (hiking shoe, maybe walking pole...). Don't forget your gloves when the temperature drops !
At the top, there is a magnificient panoramic view over Haute-Savoie (Annecy lake, Mont-Blanc...) !

Also if you have the chance you can bump into ibex.

I deeply recommend this hiking !

There's not much to see in this delightful town but this Medieval castle has an interesting history. Rooms are nice to walk through and right in the middle of the river and in the middle of the old Town.

What more could one ask for. On a glorious sun-filled late Saturday afternoon it was delightful crossing the famous bridge. Albeit in the company of many many others.

On either side were fabulous scenes. Canal du Vassé on one was beautiful, lined with trees and many little craft moored.

Expansive and fabulous the Lake vistas were breathtaking. Framed by mountains with lush greenery and trees all around. Multitudes of boats were out enjoying the water. Many others were anchored.

A beautiful expanse of green and rich in flora is lovely to relax within. Many pathways lead amongst the trees and ample seating is in place.

A further plus is its scenic location by the exceptional lake.

It is a beautiful little town and the views of the lake and the mountains are amazing. However, even in February it was full of tourists with movement along the main drag sometimes difficult.

Amazing marble columns inside. Left a donation for the upkeep and a couple of leaflets we took for information. Didn't go up the bell tower as it wasn't clear how to do this, but instead took a walk up the mountain nearby for a lovely view of the city (and free).

In the warming afternoon sunshine it was great strolling around the expanse of green.

Pleasantly moving through the pathways surrounded by deep green trees and other flora was most enhancing.

A further benefit was the near presence of the superlative Lake.

I asked for a list of restaurants that would be open December 25th. The person on the phone was super friendly and sent me the list immediately. Great response time. Thank you for being so helpful.

One of the many highlights of a fabulous day in Annecy was strolling along and crossing the lovely waters of the river.

Throughout the superlative Old Town the river wends its way. So many occasions of enjoyment, of the pretty vistas and delightful bridges traversing it.
