For advanced travelers, I recommend the following way to get to the Imjingang tourist center. Take the Gyeongui-Jungang Turquoise Line to Munsan Station. I'll paste the details below. The most important thing is to get to the ticket office at least by half past eleven in the morning, otherwise the tickets may be sold out.

This was my biggest regret - I did not manage to visit this place.
This review is to explain and give tips to future travelers wishing to see this.

    - You will NOT come to this place on the most popular and most sold "Half day DMZ" tour. On that tour you will only see this place from a distance, from the Dora observation deck (see my pics),
    - This is the JSA (Joint security area) - world famous place where's the demarcation line between NK and SK.
    - This is the real thing to see, while the "Half day DMZ tour" is mostly a very touristy experience,
    - This tour costs more than double of the "Half day tour" (around 150 US$ pp),
    - strict rules apply for dress code and behavior and tour can be canceled any time without prior notice,
    - Spaces are very limited and not available every day like on the "Half day tour",
    - Book AS EARLY as you know your plans. I tried to book it a month prior to travel and there were no available spots.

You get a good view of the tunnel. Requires good physical health though, the walk down and up to the tunnel is steep, and the tunnel itself is low so you'll have to grouch down the whole walk.

Here stands a tower in hopes of reunification of the two Koreas. In a way, the tower symbolizes just how far apart they are. A solid, modern structure overlooking a poor, backwards, downtrodden neighbor. This is a good place to see North Korea from.

There is a really heavy feeling driving to the DMZ.. once your a few miles close to it your driving thru a village of farmland.. it’s very scenic and nice but we all know it’s far from being nice. You can see warning signs on barbed wire fences along the road. Once you enter the DMZ that’s when you feel like.. “damn this is real” .. the whole experience being on the North side and the South in one of the buildings they “hold meetings” you just really can’t help feel so tense and heavy just even the tension between the guards.. it was all surreal.

It was definitely an experience I never felt before; to just see how everything was, the atmosphere, the reality of it all.

Visited it on a cloudy day and nothing much was visible. Liked the place and the view. The triangular river bed and some buildings on the South Korea side was very clearly visible. Overall it's a nice place to visit as part of the DMZ tour.

Quite a sizable premium outlets with standard building design. However nothing seem to catches our attention, not even the biggest shopperholic in our group.

The Heyri Art Village hosts many number of museums and workshops - all with varying interesting architecture. It also houses Seoul Action School (Martial Arts Center) where actors practice or train the fighting moves for their movies.

I noticed that the area was quiet but there were quite a number of visitors. The museum that we were supposed to go for was closed because seems like everyone had their own opening hours in contrary to whatever is stated on the internet.

Time spent here was a bit too short, I hope to do a more thorough walk and visit more gallery / museum some day.

    C ( 24.01.08 ) - 2nd visit.
This temple has a large Buddha statue. It is well-parked and takes about 10 minutes to reach the temple. It is a place that goes well with the surrounding scenery and feels calm. In particular, Daewoongjeon Hall is a temple that feels very old and is good for a slow walk.

Its an hour and half drive from Seoul. Since its still winter the place was not that crowded. Found parking space next to the start of the trail. However, parking space is very limited. Not sure if its enough during the peak season. Washroom, emart etc are nearby the parking area. There are some 100-150 steps at the start of the trail. after that it gets easy. There is bridge, waterfall and then temple. Waterfall was frozen. There is lighting show near waterfall in the evening. Timings were mentioned. But we couldn't wait till night as we had to come back to Seoul. It took us 1.5 hours to come back to the parking lot. Ofcourse we took lot of breaks during this. Overall nice experience. Temple was good.

Really huge complex which spans across a River! That is something that we don’t see often. Lots of sports apparels here. There’s also a rooftop where you can go to to rest before plunging back into retail therapy.
