Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our first stop in S. Korea was a day trip to the DMZ. Benny was the guide for our family of 4. He was knowledgeable and good natured. The tours are first come first serve, no reservations. So we left early from our hotel for the hour long trip. During which time Benny gave a good history of the Korean peninsula. When we got there it was overcast and rainy so he choose a 1 pm time, which worked out great as the weather cleared. So in the AM we went to the suspension bridge, the rain made it a bit more challenging. But it was still fun. Be prepared for a good amount of walking. We are good shape for our age, but the tunnel walk (stooped over and at a steep grade) was felt the next day!

We were so fortunate to have Yujeong as our guide for our visit to the DMZ! She picked us up right and time and was so friendly that our kids instantly loved her. She taught us about the Korean history relevant to the DMZ in excellent English, which was so helpful. The DMZ itself is incredible—a definite must-see when in South Korea. We learned so much and enjoyed our tour!

Harry, our tour guide, was great! He was very responsive leading up to the tour and very informative during the tour. We had an enjoyable day with him and he even cooked our Korean Barbecue for us! It's a pretty long day but so worth doing if you're interested in learning more about the DMZ. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Very interesting and no time wasted. Great photo opportunities. Note be punctual.
Advise to bring own food and refreshments as not enough time to dine.

Jun won Choi provides a top quality service with hotel pick-up from your hotel and a personalised itinerary. Jun was recommended by the tour guide from my Trip-a-deal tour of Korea and I wasn't disappointed. It was the last day in Seoul & there were some sights I didn't want to miss. Jun was able to come up with an itinerary that suited me and 3 others in my tour group for a very reasonable price. The itinerary included cable car to Mt Namsan, Namsan Tower, the 4 gates of the Seoul City wall with a very scenic drive, plus an opportunity to walk a section of the wall, a visit to the Kisangani Temple and walk of the grounds. His 6 seater van was clean and comfortable. Jun took us to a unique artisan bakery where the food was delicious. Jun has an excellent local knowledge, is fluent in English and made us all feel comfortable. I would recommend Tour n Korea to anyone visiting Seoul who would like a tour that is personalised and a little unique.

Sophia's English and driving skills are superior and enjoyable. We had a fantastic tower tour, cable car, Korean Historical Village, and the best authentic Korean Steak/cooking table experience. Her timing was excellent and we did not feel we had any line-ups or delays. In fact we have booked this tour company in 2 days to tour the DMZ.

These guys know how to hire excellence!

I booked this tour for myself, my husband, and a friend that was traveling with us. I had originally booked a different tour that would take us to the JSA Freedom House, but due to the African Swine Fever, we were unable to do that tour. Not going to lie, we were super bummed, but this tour was suggested instead. We decided to go ahead and proceed with this tour and boy, we were NOT disappointed. This tour turned out to be one of the best tours we have ever taken on our travels. Our guide, Alfonso, was amazingly knowledgeable from start to finish and SOOOOO personable. We had great fun with him all day. The tour took us from a morning hike with great views of Seoul to the DMZ for some great shots of North Korea. Then, on to a traditional Korean bbq lunch which was fantastic!!! We finished the day off at The War Memorial where the day ended with us meeting with a North Korean defector. It was so wonderful speaking with him and he was quite humorous and personable even though we didn't speak the same language. I 1,000% suggest this tour and suggest requesting Alfonso as your guide. You will NOT regret it!!!

We had a great private tour with Emily. Our family of 7 consisted of 3 adults, 2 teens and seniors, and we all were able to enjoy the tour. From the suspension bridge, 3rd tunnel and Dora observatory, we learned so much. She also took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch. The tour is a very full packed day and Emily took great care of us.

I did the DMZ Tour with Mr. SP. He was a very good tour guide, probably one of the best tour guides I have had. He was very knowledgable and passionate about giving tours of the DMZ. He also talks a little bit about the current events and he keeps himself up to date with all the events.

The bus ride was very good. Since our tour occurred on a Saturday, getting to the DMZ from Seoul was very quick both ways. There was only a little traffic on the way back being inside Seoul of course, but it was a very quick travel overall. It was very eye-opening seeing the border. I wish I could have seen the JSA, but of course with the recent events, it was understandable why it was not available. Would like to go on a JSA Tour with Mr. SP if possible.

Our tour guide Mr. Song was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about all things history. We start out our day with a one hour drive to the DMZ. On this drive he told us about the history of the Korean War and how the US got involved. He also pointed out various landmarks along the drive. Once we arrived he arranged our tickets and joined us on the shuttle bus. Since this is an active military site movement is restricted and monitored. Through each step of the way he explained what we were looking at and the significance behind it. Yes, the DMZ is a commercialized tourist destination with everything from restaurants and coffee shops to souvenir shops, soybean ice cream, and an amusement park, but it is also full of history. It’s a place that is fascinating and heartbreaking, while also sending a message of hope and kindness.

We had an excellent experience with Vincent and this tour. While within the DMZ you do join the larger tour, it was great having a personal guide sharing additional information at each stop and for our kids to have someone of their own to ask all their questions to. The DMZ day trip ended up being one of the most memorable days of our 3 week trip; do not think it would have been if we did not have Vincent and just went on the standard day bus from Seoul.

Also, once we left the larger bus we realized a jacket had been left behind. Vincent immediately connected with the bus and went and got it while our kids rode a few rides at the little ride park DMZ - so our day did not miss a beat.

We were also able to customize our post-DMZ itinerary and visited the Heyri Art Village on the way back. We choose that for my wife's interests and a good place to get a meal - but one could choose several other places to visit out that way as well.

Highly recommend and well worth the cost.
