Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I would definitely recommend a visit to the Reichstag building when visiting Berlin. Even if you're not too interested in the historical or political aspects, the building and the views are amazing. And, it's free, so what's not to like?
You have to register and book your visit, but this is easy to do on their website. They advise you to turn up 15 mins in advance, in order to allow time to get through security and you need to bring your passport.
A lift takes you up to the roof terrace and dome, where you are given an audio guide, which is available in several different languages. Toilets are also here.
The information boards provide a background of the German political system and Reichstag building through the years and once you start to make your way up the spiral to the top, the audio guide kicks in and explains the views as you walk. You can get some really good photos across the Berlin skyline from here, as well as on the roof terrace.
I like the fact there is one way up and one way down, so you're not meeting people.
There is a little gift shop counter on the way out where you can buy souvenirs.
We spent about 1.5 hours here and would highly recommend a visit. Still very surprised it's free.

A must see when visiting Berlin, an iconic monument with so much history.
Located in a nice open clean square, no big crowds or people hassling you. Great experience.
Get the underground to Branderburg Tor and as you go up the escalator from the station the gate appears in front of you..pretty awesome !

Very informative. So much information. Eye opening. I would recommend doing it in 2 stages as you have the time as there’s so much to read it became a bit of overload but was all so interesting.

A very poignant memorial located close to the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin city.
A place to visit and reflect the atrocities inflicted by the nazis.
Fully open to the public allowing you to walk freely amongst the concrete columns.
Unfortunately some disrespectful youths were running about between the monuments..idiots.

Next to underground stations, this is history in the open air. A bit of the wall remans with metal pliers added to give a sense of its height and direction. The museum is free and amazing at giving a history of the wall.l there is a tower to climb which gives you a perspective of the area. Worth the visit and the museum is 1-2 hours

Friedrichstadt Palast is a must go destination on any holiday I take to this fantastic and fascinating city ,taking in a show is always at the top of my list of things to do, theatre is amazing, staff are fabulous, so friendly and the performers are masters of their art ,its over the top ,its exciting ,atmosphere created by the performers is awesome, couldn't fault anything about our visit here over the Christmas period, me and my twin brother had a great night here and after the performance we enjoyed a meal and beers along Schiffbauerdamm to round a great night out, can't wait to go again next time we're in Berlin next December.

The best preserved part of the old Berlin Wall with some famous graffiti to be seen.
Well looked after and respected by the many tourists which attend.
    Definitely worth a visit.

A very beautiful building! So nice to be able to see it in person. Although I didn’t go in, I did explore the grounds around and took plenty of photos.

A nice place to see animals and enjoy a sunny day with family, a lot of attractions. And if you are at the right time can see when the animals are fed.

This was unexpectedly one of the highlights of our trip to Berlin. We entered the park purely to sit down and have lunch before finding ourselves on an adventure through the neverending park. IT'S HUGE. Lots of statues and pathways to uncover. This was also how we came across the Victory Monument which was very impressive. A great way to explore different things in the City while keeping off the roads

This beautiful and elegant Xmas market is in the centre surrounded by beautiful old historical buildings and a hotel. You need to pay 2 Euros to go in.

There is a stage and sometimes there are performances. Lots of craft shops and a few restaurants. We went to 2 different restaurants at the front near the entrance and surprisingly they are of very high standard. Great atmosphere and food!

All in all, we enjoyed it very much and highly recommend it.

This is a fantastic spot for panoramic city views. Unfortunately, today was cloudy, limiting visibility, but it was still a lovely experience to take in the sights from above!

We spent 90mins just covering 2 of the floors of this museum. I didn’t expect to be so impressed thinking I’d seen it all at the British museum years ago… I was wrong! Although sad that all this Egyptian history has been removed from its country of origin I found the collection fascinating. I can understand how people of the early 20th century became obsessed with Egypt.
The collection had large boulders with picture and hieroglyphic engravings, carved heads of gods, and kings- including a breathtaking one of Nefertiti. There also roman and greek collections, and impressive collections of bronze age and earlier tools, jewellery and kitchen utensils.
As i said - this was only two floors!!
The actual museum building (restored following bombing in WWII) was amazing too!
