The Museum is very hands-on and allows the children to experience life in the mines in Germany and for the older generations there is so much history you can brush up on and learn.
Beautiful location, genuine industrial history, very authentic, carefully restored, very suitable for families.

... v Hamburg match Lots of really interesting exhibits Realise just how good and successful the German team have been Even 1966 is covered!! Definitely recommended - good for families and a for any football fan!
The museum is also full of technological interactive stuff such as quizzes you can play with your friends or family and shows that are activated once in a while.

A great family day out.
A great zoo! Kids enter for free One of the best zoos ever, and not too big, so 2-3 hours must be enough to see all the animals.

It could get hectic if it is an important match or if Enlish fans are in house ;)) ... so if you are taking children be aware of that and plan ahead ...
A great day out for all the family including children - would recommend anyone.

Very reasonably priced at €10 & €7.50 for adults/kids & very high tec with iPods for scoring, very easy to use though.
I would advise anyone with children aged 5-16+ (and is bigger kids too) to so do this!
