What travellers are saying
- Bijoux123New York City, NY75 contributionsYou can not miss this impressive cathedral (UNESCO )! A Guided tour is the best option in order to really appreciate the history and architecture.Written 21 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DotsGirl2Vancouver, Canada620 contributionsWe did this as part of a tour. It was very interesting but unfortunately it was a cold and rainy day so it wasn’t as nice as some people have experienced. I am still glad we did itWritten 9 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ann HChorley, UK56 contributionsWe visited in March 2025 and sadly it rained hard for most of our trip. It was a little early for the gardens to be at their best, and 1 section was roped off where improvements were being carried out. Definitely worth a visit though.Written 9 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rochelle FRandolph, NJ1,287 contributionsWe visited the patios on a Wednesday when the entry was free. A visit to the home is only done by guided tour and today there was only one in Spanish. We really came to see the patios and the gardens. Even in February, there were flowers and blooms and you could see the 100 year old orange trees throughout. There were about 5 patios to see and the gardens. I can imagine in spring it is a wonder.Written 26 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- laczkozsuDebrecen, Hungary2,536 contributionsWe took the train from Seville to Cordoba and walked quickly from the train station to the old town. Here you can find the most important sights: the Mezquita Cathedral de Cordoba, the Alcazar, the synagogue and the Jewish quarter, the Roman bridge. We managed to see everything and even wander around the beautiful flowered courtyards (patio). We spent the whole day in the city and loved it. It would be nice to return sometime.Written 19 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- VickyLargsLargs, UK928 contributionsI wish I could come here in May in peak season for patios during the competition of the local residents. But even now in October the patios are instagram-pretty. As a devoted gardener, I am giving credit to Cordobians for maintaining such beautiful spaces. Take your time to stroll in the Jewish quarter and beyond to admire amazing courtyards. I am sure they will put a smile on your faces.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nigel HBrighstone, UK52 contributionsOk it's been reconstructed and repaired but two arches are still original. And there was no other bridge until mid 20th century so it worked damn well!
It has monuments at either end (puerta del puente and Calahorra tower ) and is right near the historic centre of cordoba. A must see really.Written 19 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I don't think you get this if you're on a private guided tour arranged outwith the Medina. Anyway we took a taxi from our hotel - e20 each way fixed fare and arrived around 930 to avoid the heat, we were there around 2/2.30 hrs and hadn't done the museum video or shop but did have a drink in the cafe. Entry is free, including the hall tour, but you pay e3 for the return shuttle bus. Toilets are in the entrance hall and there's toilets at the site entrance. There are some info boards in Spanish and English as you go around. An audio guide would be useful but I suppose that would mean you'd pay to enter? Anyway I was abit reluctant but glad I went as it was interesting - even if I don't speak Spanish.Written 9 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia20,833 contributionsThis is a tiny street, very narrow, close to Mezquita. Whitewashed houses are full of flower pots hanging (same you can see in any patio) and that's it.
If you already there, walk till the end (30 steps) as from there is more beautiful with Mezquita bell tower in between.Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Signs are in English and Spanish and give the history of Cordoba. You can see excavations on the lowest level. The museum is free.Written 14 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- geo3Calgary, Canada2,448 contributionsThe museum is small, but well-organized and informative.
In some of the rooms the focus is on culture (costumes, handcrafts, jewelry, etc), and in some it is on people, giving biographies of significant people in their history. Overall it was a great introduction to the Shepardic Jews. I certainly know much more about the Shepardic Jews now than I did before visiting the museum.Written 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We walked there, its a fantastic view. Today it is a city museum. Unfortunatelly we had no time to go inside, but it is worth at least looking outside.Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
