Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A visit to the indoor market is a must. Rows of meat, fish, fruit, nuts and vegetable stalls. The Art Deco/ Modernista window at one end is amazing and lightens up the interior. Good place to buy snacks. Modernista buildings in the nearby narrow streets. Also terminus for bus to Botanic gardens

If you have time left, this is a place to go.
Well accessible by car, but also by train from Malaga and Torremolinos.
The Plaza Mayor accommodates many shops ans restaurants, as well as a huge supermarket.
Recently, an outlet centre was opened just opposite the Plaza Mayor shopping mall.

Definently worth a visit if ever in the area. Great for a stroll and a bit of shopping. The streets were clean and nicely decorated. Easy free parking, wide selection of places to dine and a lovely vibe.

If you like classical history this is definitely for you. Although it is a small private museum was one of the more moving collections I have experienced. I felt it was very well presented and educational. The young man on the reception desk was very helpful and took time and care to ensure I got the best from my visit - many thanks!

Lots of shops at the cheaper end of the scale. We did visit Lefty’s to buy t shirts, socks and underwear when our luggage was delayed. Quite a few eating places, mainly fast food.

The Market doesn’t exist anymore! Please delete it because we lost all morning searching it and at the end the only English speaking native around told us it’s not existing for years.

A unique place where to find original works of art and in small format. Engravings, lithographies, paintings, drawings, etc. like those of maestro Francisco Aguilar of other artists of recognized trajectory and national and international recognition. Monographic workshops and courses are held: engraving, aquatint, etching, soft varnish, xylography, lithography, flexography, drypoint, drawing, calligraphy, graphic techniques, collage, etc.

This is a nice stop while in Malaga. It may not have many shops but the ones they have are pretty good. Totally proves how sometimes less is more.

The market was just around the corner from the Airbnb flat my wife and I were staying in. The choice of meat, fish and vegetables was amazing. We noticed that there were small tapas bars in the market. We went at lunchtime to the one on the corner run by the lovely red haired girl with her partner. The mini burgers tapas and the vino Verdejo were brilliant. So good in fact that we went for the same a few days later. Everyone was so friendly. So much better than the market in the city centre.

There are many bookstores represented at the Feria del Libro at the Malaga Park. They all give a 10% discount for the books on sale. However you have to browse for the books you may be interested in. Most of the books are in Spanish.
