The Alhambra is beautiful and well worth visiting. As expected it was a highlight of Granada. My favourite part was the 'Nazaries Palace' We spent about 2 and a half hours looking round all the different parts. I felt it was very reasonably priced. The gardens are so beautifully kept and the flowers were lovely too. Don't forget to bring photographic ID with you as you will be refused entry. We took a taxi there and only realised when we were almost there. We had to return to the apartments to get our passports. They ask for them at the entrance.

Adjacent to the remarkable Alhambra and truly beautiful and welcoming. Generalife is one of the oldest surviving Moorish gardens in Spain and is an extensive site. The water features, gardens and courtyards are absolutely beautiful and so colourful. My wife and I visited as part of a larger guided tour and found the experience wonderful. An experience made all the better because of our superbly knowledgeable guide.

My wife and I walked through this amazingly decorative area as part of a larger guided tour and were happy to wander through the maze of narrow streets and to view numerous shops, restaurants and bars.

The view from the church plaza is stunning and there are some nice restaurants with terrace seating overlooking the valley and The Alhambra - a beautiful view on any evening but we lucked out with amazing weather and it was just delightful. The walk up is a challenge but makes for a great story, and the view is so worth it!

And don’t miss the church, itself. It’s really lovely and the artwork is beautiful and interesting. I imagine the experience of a service here would be truly memorable.

After seeing hundreds of over the top churches around the world, this lovely basilica redefines over the top to a new level. I suggest you just take a minute to scroll through the first 50 or so of pictures left by prior reviewers and you will get the idea! Not to be missed! Aside from the overwhelming amount of gilt , not to mention the over abundance of detail and different distinct art crammed into this basilica, there are some very unique pieces. I gave names to my favorite two: "The Zombie Head of John the Baptist", which is self descriptive, and "St. Joan of the Arctic" which isn't. This is a statue of St. Joan holding a sword with her foot holding down a sea demon to be killed. But the sea demon looks very much like a baby seal, except for it's face of course. It may be a small church, but it is a vast holding of religious symbols with unique presentations. It is a lot of fun!

Loved this place! I'd recommend a tour guide, so you can understand the Islamic history behind this place, which otherwise would not get noticed.

Beautiful place to visit, interesting to see the actual sarcophagi underground . Worth downloading the audio guide for phone.

While a significant section seemed to be closed during our late August visit, the experience was nonetheless enjoyable.

We caught the twice daily outdoor birds-of-prey exhibition shortly after entering and despite our poor Spanish caught the gist of what was said and enjoyed the show. An owl circled my head (I'm tall) and the eerie silence reminded me of the time an owl in the wild did the same to me at twilight and had me wondering about ghosts until I saw it perched just above me.

The standout to us was the taxidermic display that finds large groups of predator(s) encountering prey mounted together as if suspended in air with mere points of contact.

The gardens were fair to explore.

Walking amongst the collection of religious art, nothing prepares you for the stunning exquisite decoration of the main hall with its sumptuous paintings and craftsmanship. though many say that the monastery and the Alhambra should compete for the top position, this isn't fair as they are both top of their respective class's for architecture and beauty, they're just in different classes.

This area by the river is easily one of the loveliest places for a walk in Granada. It is an easy walk too, by the river and mostly flat land. Highly recommended.

This is a famous street in Granada for talk a long promenade to take in the beauty of the city. You will pass some great restaurants for refreshments. However, it is for looking at the old houses, the stream and scenic views of Alhambra in the distance that dominates the skyline. There are various tourist shops and a venue to watch traditional flamenco dancing. It has a charm as you dodge the taxis and buses that frequent the street. The cobblestones help to transport you to ancient times and you can only but wonder about days gone by.

Absolutely stunning! Not sure why this place isn't promoted as much as Granada cathedral, but this one is a must see! And definitely worth seeing more than Granada cathedral. The artistic detail in the ceiling and walls is exquisite. A MUST SEE! I came across this place after I got lost in Granada town centre, and I can definitely say I was happy to get lost to find this place.

Wow - we were blown away by the gardens of this lesser known museum in Granada. It is situated close to the Alhambra and well worth a visit.
Our guide William was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and took delight in surprising us with the eclectic mix of architecture and detail that the gardens and tunnels had to offer.
We visited simply because a ticket was included within our Alhambra package but we were so pleased that we had taken the time to do so.
Keep up the great William - you are a star!

An intimate, wonderful way to experience Flamenco during December 2021. We found some reviews on line and decided to try La AlboreA when we made a quick trip to Granada from Madrid. Very passionate and authentic and enjoyed this group of 4. The guitarist is very talented. There were a few foreigners in the audience but also quite a few spaniards vacationing.
