While the tour was very interesting and the guide knowledgeable and entertaining, we were very disappointed to discover that the tour covered the majority of the Alhambra site, except the one area we wanted to see - the famous Nasrid Palaces gardens. I advise others to check the details of the tour to make sure you get what you want. The tour title is misleading and implies the tour is to the Alhambra in its entirety. We had not understood that the Palace area was fully booked and that we couldn’t access it.

Considering the size of the area and the number of objects worth seeing and learning about, a well-organized 3-hour tour for 10 people is optimal.

Cristian, our guide, who clearly loves his job, is very dedicated and skilled in communicating essential information about the historical, cultural and architectural values of this area, not in a simple list-and-count manner, but through a series of stories told with a lot of spirit. He keeps people's attention and, with smart questions, gets them to interact.

Don’t wait to book this tour . This was amazing. Ana was our tour guide and I must say she gave us many local stories and snippets. This is a must see tour because even the photos don’t do it justice. The great part is that you are led by your tour expert and you hav individual earphones that you can hear the tour even though you may be a few meters or feet away. We did the 0900 tour which I recommend as it was getting busier as we left a little after noon. This is an amazing place , don’t miss out.

Of course flamenco is a tradition and possibly a must do, while in Spain. This show was amazing, the energy was phenomenal. The singer and dancers and guitarist were fabulous.

Audio tour was confusing. Not a lot of guidance. Numbers on audio tour did not match numbers at site. Had to download to phone and then headphones didn't fit my phone.

Stephanie was our guide and she was wonderful, very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Special thanks to Stephanie, if we had not have chosen a guided tour, we would not have benefited from all the knowledge and history that she imparted. Of course you can read or google about the history but I cannot emphasise enough, how wonderful it is to walk with someone telling you in chronological order the history of Granada and the Alhambra, so personal and enthralling. We were in a group of 15/16, it can be frustrating waiting for people etc, outweighed by the experience.
We walked with Stephanie, others took a taxi from the office. The walk is steep and it is 15/20 minutes walk but if you have basic physical fitness, water and good shoes, it is the best way to get there.
Staff on reception were a little brusque when checking in, as mentioned by other people but with the amount of people they have to organise, I can understand.... with some people on this planet it’s like herding cats!

Absolutely horrendous experience!!! We paid FIVE times the actual price for highly sought-after tickets to the Alhambra, trusting the process. After booking, I immediately reached out to TripAdvisor/Viator to ensure my tickets were confirmed. From day one, both Atalaya Tour and Viator assured me that my tickets were confirmed and would be ready with the guide on the day of the activity. Even the day before, I received confirmation that everything was set. Relying on their word, I went ahead and booked non-refundable round-trip train tickets from Seville to Granada.

Then, on the morning of the activity, I got a message from the tour company stating that the tickets were unavailable—citing some ridiculous excuse. This is a scam! This tour company is unreliable and dishonest. Buyers, beware before trusting this tour company! My whole trip is ruined!! Now I’m just waiting for see if TripAdvisor will compensate for my non- refundable train tickets.

The tour guides looked after us and were entertaining during the visit. There was the right balance of talking/explaining and quiet time on the coach and break times. Everything was prompt. They were helpful with concerns and issues encountered by the attending tourists. Overall we really enjoyed the whole trip and thought it was well organised!

A couple of things that might be useful is having some time in the gift shop at Alhambra before leaving and making it clear where the bus will stop on the way back. On the website it said the same areas as the pickup but on the day we were dropped off in different places. They were not too far away from the original locations but if we knew in advance it would have made planning our travel after the excursion easier.

The dancers and musicians were great. They put on a good show.

The setting adds a layer to the ambience.

Receptionist was good enough to help us with a low seat for a senior individual.

The only downside is that your table service is dependent on where you sit/pay. The dinner tables get the waitstaffs full attention. The complimentary drink tables don't. That being stated, we were fortunate to get the attention of one waiter in particular that allowed us to purchase water.

    Pro-Tip: Choose the dinner option.

Faris was excellent in his explanation of the electric bikes as well as the sites and history of the area. We were a group of 4 and we covered a large area with the help of the electric bikes. I think this is a superb start of a holiday to Granada

I have been to a few flamenco shows before, but this one was really outstanding. The room was very beautiful. There is plenty of room to sit as the chairs could be slightly moved around which is great for legroom. It began with about 10 minutes of Spanish guitar, which was so utterly beautiful. I actually wept through it.
The singer had an incredible voice and the dancers were amazing, extremely talented and all very professional One of the young men danced so enthusiastically that the button flew off his trousers and he had to hang onto them, but finished the dance with style anyway! Thoroughly recommend.

Trip Advisor was HORRIBLE at explaining where to meet our tour. Repeat HORRIBLE. And the app would not open for the ticket. I found our Guide by yelling his name at the top of my lungs.. that said, our guide Emilio was amazing. Soo knowledgeable. Paced the tour to the people in the group, answered questions, pointed out so many extra things. Very thoughtful and thorough. But I won't book tours through Trip Advisor or viator ever again.

An excellent and engaging tour of the Alhambra by Eduardo. We were shown details we never would have seen. He clearly knows the history and culture of this site and his enthusiasm for this breathtaking place is infectious.not with these wonderful guides. Susan and Stow Walker, Boston area
