What travellers are saying
- Jomac19712 contributionsIf you go to Mallorca you have to visit the cathedral in Palma, it’s a stunning place,
We went in June so the queues weren’t bad so lighting a candle and getting to see everything was easy.
It’s reasonably priced too.Written 22 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KevfromleTrefin, UK73 contributionsWe had no expectations at all but decided to walk to the castle.
We were so pleased that we visited. It cost €6 for the two of us and was well worth it.
There were exhibits inside the castle explaining aspects of Mallorcan history.
The architecture of the castle was fascinating, the views were stunning and the surrounding woods were full of birds and insects.
We saw several different warblers and finches with a bonus sighting of 3 hoopoes.
Well worth the investment of a couple of hours.Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 2K1956 contributionsVisited here a few years back, great aquarium and reasonably cheap! Took around a hour from where we were staying, two bus journeys got us here. Not to busy and food was nice enough. Would visit again if in the area.Written 4 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Winifred3 contributionsLovely beach, downside is the bus ride takes a long time but if you go on weekends it is hard to parkWritten 31 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SMQ1_14Nha Trang, Vietnam43 contributionsA lovely area smack bang in the city centre. Lots of upmarket shops and flower stalls. Great for a wander.Written 29 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- EmmaLeonor88Glasgow, UK4 contributionsThis is somewhere that you must visit. The choice and quality of the local produce is second to none. You can try mini plates or tasters of everything being sold, some of the ham literally melted in my mouth. Don’t forget to try the sushi, made right in front of you, delicious ! Fantastic choice of fruit too, so happy we found it.Written 19 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KevfromleTrefin, UK73 contributionsI have wanted to travel on this old train for a number of years and finally got round to it.
We bought our tickets online in advance which saved us from queueing at the station and guaranteed our trip.
We also added the tram ride from Soller to Puerto Soller.
The journey from Palma takes around an hour and the tram ride to the port a further 20 minutes.
Both journeys are memorable with some lively scenery on offer.
We enjoyed Soller very much, a lovely quaint town with some lovely bars and shops.
The port was frankly a little tedious and had nothing to offer us so we only stayed there an hour.
We had a great day and I can certainly recommend it.Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - seanandnicCumbria, UK156 contributionsTravelled along the length of the beach as part of a bicycle trip. It was lovely & very very long. Would like to have spent more time there on a warmer day.Written 8 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AMTPRaleigh, NC98 contributionsWe visited the palace during a stop on our cruise. It was a nice palace and we were glad to have taken the time to visit.Written 21 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vanessa BelenGlasgow, UK6 contributionsThere are so many fabulous buildings in Palma, this being one of them. It is lit cleverly at night, but is worth a visit in daylight to see the work inside. Gothic arches and amazing acoustics, make for a great building. Good spot to collect your thoughts.Written 11 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- FadipadiBowling Green, KY3,208 contributionsPark in a large lot across the street and walk up the road which is a pretty steep grade to the entrance of the museum. (I wouldn’t want to push a wheelchair) Five euros to get in and you will be handed a plasticized paper describing highlights of the museum and the sanctuary. The museum focused on archeological finds, agrarian life, and development of the tourist industry. The sanctuary can be enjoyed but not understood- the lecture was only in Spanish. Outside we walked a littl in their forestal park which has an extensive zip line. You can spend as much or as little time as you care to.Written 22 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- janegardnerlondon484 contributionsThis is my second trip to Palma & not sure why I did not visit before....not sure why it is not promoted more. Beautiful baroque interior, and cloisters - very interesting information card given to us by the super helpful ticket seller. Well worth the modest entry fee. More impressed with this than the cathedral. So atmospheric, less tourists and very interesting history.Written 24 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michelle BNottingham, UK19 contributionsVery busy party resort, especially around Mega Park and 'Bar Street', I believe it is like Magaluf strip but for the Germans instead of the English. When we visited in June it was very busy, lots of groups of young males, obviously having a good time. Whilst there were no major issues, if you want a lively noisy atmosphere, then the resort is for you, it is not a family resort at all. Not a great deal to do, some water sports and a long promenade full of shops, bars and restaurants. Also found the resort a little grubby, lots of beer cans and bottles on the beach and prom.Written 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Charlotte FreyaScotland, UK2 contributionsAbsolutely gorgeous building inside and out, the stain glass windows are absolutely beautiful. We lit a candle for my grandpa and I thought that’s was such a nice thing to have for people to be able to light a candle for someone. Would 100% recommend 10/10 ❤️Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Liz HDerby, UK88 contributionsWell worth the 9Euro entrance fee.Lots of original works and fascinating to see his studios as he left them.Shame the cafe was closed as walking from Bellver Castle was a slog!Written 14 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
