Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A busy place but full of decent places to eat and drink at a reasonable price. Worth a visit or even a stay clean and not bad at all.

We visited here as our friend was desperate to swim in the sea , but during the rest of the week the wind had been strong and many of the natural pools were closed and the beaches had red flag warnings.
This is a man made beach with lovely white sand , and as it has a breakwater the sea is protected and very calm. The sand goes a long way into the water and you have to walk a fair way to get into the sea , but made it perfect for kids so their were many families there. The facilities are great : a large car park a short walk away, toilets, showers , sunloungers and sun beds all along the beach and a wide selection of cabins offering a large choice of drinks and snacks. Lovely views from the beach inland towards the hills. As it was Feb the water was a bit cold but one of our party did brave a swim

One of best beaches here. Well run sunchairs, nicely spread out. Clean beach with toilet and shower facilities. Great selection of nearby shops and restaurants.

This beach gives this free spirited El Medano feel. In the middle of the city, lots of cafes, restaurants, shops with clothing and souveniers. Showers, too 😊

We visited when quite windy, the waves were big and it was fun for the kids. I can imagine that during a high season it would be very crowded.

Lovely beach with soft black sand, it's a bit of a treck to get to on foot, but you can get a cab from Port del la Cruz or hire a car and drive down the single winding track to a resturant above with a 3 euro car park. It's well worth a visit but it's a long was down a lot of steep steps so it's not for the physically challenged.

If you are a sea swimmer this is a great beach.750metres long.Protected from the open ocean by man made reefs. I felt very safe swimming. One tip is use a tow float and stay well out.i.e. Near the reefs. Also when finishing get out at either end as the waves are lee powerful

Staying at the nearby Landmar Hotel, meant this was our nearest beach.
The black sandy beach has very fine soft sand.
During our 4 days the sea & waves were very rough, which resulted in the lifeguard closing beach for swimming.
A nice little beach in a quiet area of Tenerife.

One of the best beaches in Tenerife. The road views itself worth the travel time. There is a strong rip current in the far right side of the beach, take serious caution.

It wasn't obvious where to hire the sunbeds and umbrella from, but we did find a large area in the shade at the far end of the beach and it was also the best place to swim as it was less wavey.
There's free toilets and changing room, which was really useful and reasonably clean.

Very beautiful natural beach. I don’t mind there is no food/drinks/showers. It is quiet and free spirited. Ať the end of the beach, there is a local pub which I really enjoyed.

Only minus is that quite often the beach is so windy it cannot by used. Sand is flying with the wind and can be almost dangerous. I wish there would be more not so windy days, it would make La Tejita my favourite beach of all times 😊

The perfect golden sand beach , down a very steep set of stairs , not for anyone with mobility issues . Stunning beach bar/restaurant. Parking is some distance away , however if you’re fairly fit it should not be a problem . Really worth a visit if you’re near the area .

Great place, perfect beach, not overcrowded, many shops and restaurants near by. For me this is the most beaufitul place of Tenerife.

Nice beach with 2 sections, and plenty of sun loungers with parasols for hire. Safe, gently shelving beach. We windy on one of our visits, so got blasted with sand, but generally pleasant. Has public toilets, and although beautifully clean, a bit pricey at 1 euro per visit! Sun loungers 4 euros per day each
