Our tour guide MK was very informative and friendly as he guided us through the streets of Barcelona. Over four stops we got to try a range of different tapas and all left stuffed! The amount of food you get for your money as well as some history was well worth the money we paid and more. They were also very accommodating as one member of our group is pregnant so could not drink the alcohol or have some of the food which they catered to. This tour is perfect for spending half a day at the basilica and seeing the city view from the towers as well. There’s free entrance to the museum too. We learned so much details and history about the architecture and basilica. Ane was an incredible guide and someone who clearly spent the time planning and developing her tour to ensure maximum enjoyment and understanding of the nuances of Barcelona.
She made good use of visual materials to help you envisage the way the area was divided or to show the conditions of the city's citizens in a given historic period. The detail and the time taken to ensure we got a good understanding of Barcelona was a highlight of our trip and we loved Ane's enthusiasm and energy throughout the tour.
Barcelona is very walkable, but without Ane's insider knowledge we would have missed several key aspects that are not immediately obvious or lack context if you simply viewed them without understanding their history.
