AMAZING! We chose to do the guided tour with access to the Passion Tower. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and was very informative. I don’t know how the audio guided tour compares but I think the live tour guide was excellent. As this seems to be only €4 more that the standard entrance price it seems to be money well spent.
There are quite long queues for the Passion Tower and although you go up by lift you have to walk down the 400 or so steps. The staircase down is a very narrow spiral staircase with no hand rail for most of it and is definitely NOT for the faint hearted. Unless you are desperate to see the towers you might prefer to use the extra hour or more to explore elsewhere in Barcelona.
The museum is interesting to take a wander through so all in all it’s excellent vale for money as this is also included in your entrance fee.

Beautiful place, it represents well Gaudi work.
But! Tickets are more expensive than they should be, comparing to similar places in Europe

I bought a premium ticket to La Pedrera. It was a worthwhile experience because the ticket allows you to visit special rooms in the casa. Silvia, my guide, was delightful. Her love of working in this environment is evident. We ended the 90 min tour with a chilled glass of cava and delicious cookies that popped in your mouth. I highly recommend this guided tour.

There are so many places to shop and eat here. The Casa Batillo and Casa Mila are here on the Passeig. Come to shop for all the luxury goods and see the sights. Bring a luggage with you to place your bags into though… and take a taxi back to your hotel if you shop… although relatively safe, be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Worth a visit, it has interesting architecture in the main entry, the attic was amazing, and of course the roof with the elaborate chimneys is a treat!

We attended one night, hoping that we could enjoy the spectacular view of the fountain and the city. Sadly, the fountain was turned off, I guess because of the winter months. We were still able to enjoy some rather spectacular views down into Barcelona, which made the trip worthwhile. Just a shame that the fountain was not on at the time. Do make sure you go to the very top of the steps/escalators.

Las Ramblas in Barcelona is a captivating boulevard that pulsates with energy and culture. Stretching for about 1.2 kilometers, this bustling promenade is a mosaic of street performances, vibrant markets, and an eclectic mix of shops and cafes.

Wandering along Las Ramblas, I was immersed in the lively atmosphere created by street artists showcasing their talents, from musicians to living statues. The La Boqueria market, with its colorful array of fresh produce and local delicacies, is a sensory delight.

Cafes and restaurants lining the boulevard offer the perfect spots for people-watching, and the diverse cuisine caters to every taste. The street is alive day and night, making it an ideal place to soak in the city's dynamic spirit.

As I strolled, the Gothic Quarter and other historical landmarks revealed themselves, seamlessly connected to Las Ramblas. While the street can be crowded, especially during peak hours, the diversity of people adds to its charm.

Exploring the side streets branching off from Las Ramblas led to hidden gems and quaint squares, providing a balance between the lively main street and more intimate spaces.

For anyone visiting Barcelona, Las Ramblas is a must-see destination that encapsulates the essence of the city—its culture, vibrancy, and the intertwining of history and modern life.

This a very popular tourist and busy square. It comes to life at night.

Very central to the city, this plaza has everything going on from shops to cafes and outside bars. It is also the main hub for the Hop on - hop off buses that circulate the tourist hotspots of the city so make sure you go there !

It was a superb visit, with no booking or queuing required. Perfect time to visit, in the bright blue sky and sun filled morning.

Modelled on a medieval castle that occupied the site and commissioned by Jaume Figueres in 1900, Gaudi was advised that money would not be limited. His designs conserved the style of the castle, still beautifully seen today.

His signature early motif are visible, both inside and out. An ornate staircase leads to fascinating higher floors. A contrast between the lovely plastered walls and the unfinished brick work is great to see. The latter a consequence of Figueres dying before completion and his widow being unable to fund it to the finish.

In the brickwork it’s possible to see pencil marks made by Gaudi indicating precise placements that he wanted. Evidence of his paramount attention to the detail of his designs.

Interesting that top windows are not just windows. Ascending to the roof it’s obvious that they also represent the face of a dragon, a creature that Gaudi fell in awe of early in his career.

Bellesguard means beautiful vistas and these were certainly to be seen from the rooftop and the balcony, out upon which it is possible to step.

Really enjoyed this neighborhood away from all the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. We walked around the neighborhood and then headed to the beach to stroll back to the main part of the city. Definitely recommend it for a chill day

A famous place and the final resting area for legions down the years.

Impressive memorials of all varieties are here. In the Sunday morning tranquillity it was thoughtful walking around and seeing all the heartfelt remembrances.

The main street of the Born neighborhood, it is the widest street here so it houses cafes and restaurants, plus some nice landscaping. Quite charming, but not very long.
