The monument includes a grand carved base, and a 60-meter column with statue of Columbus at the top. Located at the end of Las Ramblas near the waterfront. As you walk the waterfront on the Passeig de Colom - you will sooner or later find it - as long as you go towards the Port Vell area - or back from that direction.
It is interesting and funny in the same time- since the municipality of Barcelona decided to keep it there - although the restaurant doesn't exist anymore.

Barcelona is full of beautiful sculptures, many of them in animal form, and this one is no exception.
