Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- BunburyTim61Bunbury, Australia2,203 contributionsThis is a foodie heaven. So many stalls selling different foods. We literally jumped from stall to eating as we go. The food is equally tasty as well. Tough to find seats but you can eat by the stalls. If in the area, you should seriously consider 😋😋Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paige P5 contributionsNice morning excursion to experience Madrid. We arrived mid day so crowd were high, maybe arrive earlier to avoid peak crowds. Lots of variety of items for sale.Written 1 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JDSouiTampa, FL7,064 contributionsThis is a gem! Meandered through the market and enjoyed the array of shops ranging from seafood, bread / pastries, fruit, deli's and other shops. While in the market the patrons were nearly all locals.
The quality and variety was simply fabulous and recommend if in the area.Written 3 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A lot less touristy and quieter than the likes of the Mercado de San Miguel, and you're getting something authentic here instead. We had lunch at Majos, where they do a fusion of Italian and Colombian food. Delightful.
So, if you want the market experience, but could do without the touristy flashiness and overcrowding, seek out the Mercado de Anton MartinWritten 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ann V7 contributionsAbout the best place in Madrid for fresh produce. About the only place. After so much meat consumption this was a godsend.
It’s a rather large market in La Latina neighborhood, but many stalls are shuttered. Clearly they don’t have the crowds they deserve.
Nevertheless lots of meat, poultry, and seafood besides the extensive produce. Only thing lacking is a good panaderia or pasteleria.
Very little prepared food - unlike Mercado San Miguel, which is nothing but - the neighborhood is full of good places.
Well worth a visit.Written 14 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dimitris LSydney, Australia52,705 contributionsWe went to this Market while walking around the streets of this lovely area. This is quite a large market place. There are numerous shops. There are fashion shops and deli shops and everything else in between. We did not actually buy anything but the prices looked quite reasonable and would buy almost anything from here if the need arose.Written 9 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MarcelaBuenos Aires, Argentina841 contributionsThis friendly market is set up only for the holidays (until January 5) in a building with a lot of charm: Centro Cultural de Ejércitos in the heart of our beautiful city. It is a craft fair whose hours are very wide (from 11AM to 9PM), you can find everything from jewelery & attire to decoration for home, the beautiful building has a bar and an elevator for those with reduced mobility: do not miss going to the first floor!
Since it is a fair, the prices oscillate...after all are handmade things: unique.Written 22 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
