Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing! The veiled Christ is one of the most amazing pieces of art I have ever seen. And the anatomic bodies that are in the basement were fascinating. This was the best thing we saw in Naples, and one of the best in all of Italy,

A desire to see the Toledo metro station was a great motivator for us to learn how to use the metro in Naples. In our case, we first used the metro from the central train station to the Toledo station so that we could experience what this station had to offer.

We were initially a bit intimidated on using the metro because of our inability to communicate in Italian and our overall realization that in Naples it is common for there to be few, if any directions available to guide tourists. The metro experience was no different as there are not a lot of clear directions on how to use the Metro, purchase tickets, where to go etc. however, we are living proof that with a little patience and perseverance anyone can successfully use the metro.

Gaining confidence in using the metro definitely broaden our ability to see Naples and save money.

Overall we would give this experience 5 stars as the station is unlike any we have ever experienced, took very little time, money or energy to accomplish.

Compulsory stop for those visiting Naples: the museum exhibits a priceless treasure. A journey into the history of Neapolitan art. A must visit.

I don’t speak Italian, so I am writing in English. This was the most beautiful exhibition that I saw in Naples. The church is beautiful, and the paintings were so exceptionally beautiful, I almost cried, really. (Mainly the Flagellation of Christ of course) Thank you for this experience!

Bring a lot of time: this museum is huge! And a phone to help you reading the labels.

On the second floor there is currently an exhibition linked to Caravaggio. They brought a lot of paintings out of their storage for it.
On the first floor there is their permanent collection which also includes porcelain, statues, furniture and even whole rooms.
The third floor was closed. Why? No idea.

The museum is currently being renovated. I hope they will improve the lighting (a lot of glare on many paintings), the labels (way to small, only in Italian) and the toilets!

Lovely Baroque palace located in center on one of the most populated street of Naples 🇮🇹. Would not spend more then 1-2 hours here as the museum is not that big but for sure it can be a nice art break from walking and exploring the city. My favorite is also the most popular The Martyrdom of Saint Ursula by Caravaggio.

Suggestive, contemporary art but inspired to the classic art, immersive experience. Totally recommended to visit if you are in Naples.

This is a small museum with some interesting civic artifacts and beautiful paintings. The museum is lovely. The only downside is that it’s not air-conditioned (like many things in Naples) and there was a museum guild who followed me around and talked to me too much. It’s worth a visit.

Skip the MADRE and visit here instead. Excellent collection of modern art, plus numerous interesting older wall paintings. Architecturally interesting too.

Friendly staff, good value entry at 5 euro. Material available in multiple languages.

Very unusual and well presented carriage display with excellent signage, Italian and English. Palazzo furnishings and design beautiful and in excellent condition. Currently there is also an enjoyable photo exhibit.

We really enjoyed our trip to this gallery and spent a great deal of time on the top floor completely fascinated by one of the exhibitions!

It’s reasonably priced, nice and cool on w hot day, with lots of toilets if needed!

The only cons are that it didn’t have anywhere to get a snack or drink. I also think without the top floor exhibition the other floors would have left us a bit bored, so wouldn’t give it 5 stars for that reason.

I stumbled upon this church while looking for another church on Via Tribunali and it was a lucky find. Its exterior is impressive looking and the interior is just as majestic. In another town, it could be the main cathdral, but here it is just another great church under the shadow of the Duomo.
