Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to Naples to catch the ferry to Capri. Unfortunately the ferry was delayed an hour and that delay forced cancellation of my boat tour around the island.

If you are going to Capri you need to stay overnight on the island to maximize the experience

We took SNAV round-trip from Naples for a day trip to Capri. Buying advance tickets online was easy and saved time day-of. NOTE: you need to exchange your confirmation for an actual ticket. (This is clearly stated in the confirmation email.) Both ferries ran on-time, boarding process was easy and efficient. Seats were plentiful and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but no complaints. PS. I have to agree with another reviewer that they should clean their windows! :)

We used this ferry to move from our hotel in Sorrento to a new one in Naples.
The woman on the desk was engrossed in her mobile phone and completely ignored me talking to her until someone else asked her a question.
I managed to buy the tickets, one each for my wife and I then another for each of our cases.
I asked where we needed to go and I got a grunt and a point above her.
We went up and started wandering around looking for which jetty we needed to go to. There was lots of other people doing the same, no one seemed to know where to go.
I went back to try and ask for help, again she ignored me so I just started talking, eventually I got an 8 out of her.
The actual ferry staff were fine and the crossing was great but she was definitely in the wrong job.

Travelled on the GNV Antaries Naples to Palermo Sept 4 2022.
The Company GNV could treat it's customers much better
No waiting room available but luckily weather was fine so sat outside in the balmy Naples evening for 2 hours. very poor signage to find the ticket office
Had booked a so called double suite with sea view, it was a shoe box with a double bed squeezed in to one side with barely enough room for 2 large wheelie bags and you had to stand on the bed to look out the window
We had purchased a meal voucher which was a waste of 80 Euros as we could not doo much considering the ship left at mid night.
Cabin was hot but at least the showers worked.
Save your money, just get a twin cabin and buy food as you want it

I wanted to sample a "cruise" in Italy and make my trip efficient by traveling from Naples to Catania at night while I sleep. Located at the front of the ship, the superior cabin was great, bigger than expected with a small fridge (complimentary bottle of water), desk, sufficient lighting and a (dirty) window. The ensuite bathroom features a sink, shower and efficient toilet.

At Naples, Alibus stops right in front of the TTT Lines ferry terminal, which is a little waiting room with convenient, automated luggage lockers (3 euros), English speaking ticketing staff and free wifi, which in itself is an awesome amenity in downtown Naples. Note the weird opening times (closed from 13:00 to 16:30 among others) because you won't have access to your luggage at those times. I got there shortly after noon, picked up my printed tickets, left my luggage and explored the surrounding area (there is a LOT to see in the neighborhood of the ferry terminal).

From the terminal, it's quite difficult to get to the boat: you have to haul your luggage through uneven roads, pass through a gate that is also used by trucks to drive onto the ship and disregard misleading signs (CATANIA arrows in 2 different directions on my way to the boat). Once you get by the boat, you have to haul your luggage by yourself on the same platform as the trucks and then take the escalators to the 2nd floor and check-in. You will be asked to leave your photo ID in exchange for the key. The boarding and check-in process could have been easier and more convenient but I understand that this line mostly caters to truckers and drivers so it wasn't designed for walk-on passengers.

There was plenty of room on the ship as there were only 6-7 people in the cabins and about a dozen truck drivers. There are sitting rooms, a bar and a restaurant that had a simple, Italian-only menu with no options for vegetarians or pescetarians.

Air conditioning and air circulation is pretty loud in the cabin but I found sleeping on board most comfortable. However, the staff will wake you up and make you leave your cabin a FULL HOUR before arrival in Catania (at some point, they were so rushed that I though they would make us jump into the water while the ship was still sailing) so they can clean the ship. Nevermind that you will miss sleep and have to stand for an hour waiting for the ship to dock, as long as they have the time to clean the cabins, that's all it matters. They want you out and they want you out fast...

In that sense, service is TERRIBLE and offers very, very poor value for money. For 150USD per night, not being able to enjoy the sleep and have to stand for an hour before docking is unacceptable. As is often the case in Italy, customers exist to serve employees and not employees to serve customers. On arrival in Catania, a shuttle bus will transport you and your luggage to the entrance of the port where you can walk to the train station (8 minutes) or downtown (6 minutes).

Due to the terrible service, I don't know if I would use this ferry again. The product was 7/10, the value for money was 7/10 but the customer service/staff was 1/10.

It was not easy to get your arms around what tickets to buy for the Capri tour! A lot of different counters with different names and prices, so we were only guessing when standing in one of the lines to get tickets for the Capri ferry. Price EUR 38.50, quite pricy for such a short ride, but I guess that the price is ruled by supply and demand…
Almost chaotic upon return, there were a lot of people wanting to get on the ferry, and were trying to get on board when the boat was too crowded!

Ripped seats but good view and there is a minibar. But i'm rating this 2 stars because the ship bumped into the dock and the one of the people who waited for the elevator fell. The captain was angry at the people who waited for the elevator because they were standing when the bump happend.

We had the best day of our two-week trip on a private tour of Ischia and Procida. Our family of six and our baby were treated to the beautiful sights and warm, welcoming hospitality. Capri Boat Experience was easy to communicate with, and made our safety a priority. Dagmara planned the day and reserved a wonderful lunch for us. We were so impressed by Ernesto, and he made our experience on-board memorable and fun. We would recommend, and hope to be back on the water with them in the future. Thank you for the memories!

This was a great way to see the Amalfi Coast. Out guide was funny and informative, we could enjoy the tremendous views while our driver handled the crazy roads, and we didn't have to worry about how to find parking in prime tourist season. We had plenty of free time, lunch was included, as well as an extra boat tour to see some of the sites from the water. This was an excellent tour.
