Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I highly recommend it! An essential visit for anyone who loves history and is curious to explore Naples more deeply. The team of guides is very friendly, and our guide provided us with incredibly interesting information. Don't miss out on this experience.

Such a beautiful place in a challenging city like Naples! Thanks to interesting guided tours can one dive in a complete other world. Tours with Emanuele are an invitation to a great adventure to discover the first centuries of the Christian church, how different it was in that time than nowadays. If you wanna know, why the word "divine" can easily be derived from "the wine", come and book a tour with Emanuele. No problem to get tickets, easily to go through. Wonderfully spent time, if you want to know Naples better fom its magnificent side.

A must-see sight. Our guide Eddo was excellent and he explained everything very well. We have learned many things that we did not know about Napoli. My kids were thrilled!!!
Note: If you have moving disabilities this is not for you.

We had Antonia as our guide, very knowledgeable and her English was perfectly understandable. Gave us a lot of interesting details about the Catacombs, seemed very passionate about the topic. The catabombs themselves were awesome! Highly recommend!

Fantastic event. Fun night of interactive music including well known neapolitan hits as well as neapolitan classics. A great time and an amazing performance presented by a group of truly talented musicians. You have to check this one out.

Easy to overlook but don't. Beautiful art work. I was the only one there. There is an audio guide but you need to download their app. I didn't have wi-fi so one guide walked around with me using her own phone!! The Varsari sacristy is amazing.

Fascinating and free!! Awesome and interesting experience! It IS hard to find! See photos for directions! Enter into the university, up the stairs to the right, down a long hall (students studying!) and enter!

This is so much more than just an ordinary walking tour—it gives in-depth insights not only in the cultural heritage but also in the development of the rione Sanità; the initiatives of the Paranza cooperative are impressive. Anna was a fantastic guide, very sympathetic and well-prepared, who shared knowledge and anecdotes alike, and guided us safely through the pouring rain (so we got a glimpse of the lave dei vergini as well), and I wish I could have stayed until the end of the tour. I will definitely join another tour by Paranza, maybe to revisit the Fontanelle cemetery once it is open again next time.

This is a spectacular site. There is tunnel, half a mile long, dug by the slaves of a rich Roman (an impressive engineering feat) that takes you to a site with the rich guy's (Pollio was his name) villa. The gentleman had a private open-air theatre seating 2,000 people, a smaller one where you could see the stage without leaving the comfort of your bedroom, and a good portion of the villa itself. The viwews are spectacular, you can see Pozzuoli on one side and the Vesuvius on the other. The guide, Stefania, was outstanding. Not only she is extremely knowledgeable, but she is also very good at explaininng things at a level that non-specialists like me can understand. I highly recommend a visit. I was there in the morning, but I think that visiting at sunset time must be amazing, as you can see the sun set over Ischia.

There are several underground attractions in Naples and they seem to get booked up well in advance. This one wasn't so it was the only one we had time for. It is under the basilica and has the remains of the street with its various shops and buildings alongside some intricate mosaics. There is also a museum over several floors which has relics, artefacts and religious costumes. They have audi guides available via an app.

One of the best railway museums we have ever visited and we have been to many all over the world. Great collection of historic steam, electric locomotives and railcars. Comprehensive information boards about each on even includes details of where they ran. Huge model railway too. The grounds are beautiful, with a great view of Naples.
There is a good website with details of opening hours which are a bit unusual. It's a 15-min. ride from Naples by a frequent train service and the museum entrance is just off the end of the platform.

Mario was incredibly knowledgable about every part of the museum, and the history of medicine in Italy, as well as universally. He was so generous with his time and the information he knows. Everybody in the museum was very helpful and friendly. The museum itself is full of interesting information and objects. Definitely a great place to visit, even if you are not particularly interested in the medical field :)

I don’t speak Italian, so I am writing in English. This was the most beautiful exhibition that I saw in Naples. The church is beautiful, and the paintings were so exceptionally beautiful, I almost cried, really. (Mainly the Flagellation of Christ of course) Thank you for this experience!

This church features masterworks by Caravaggio, and for this privilege there is an admission charge of €8. Unlike Cappella Sansevero, advance reservation is not required and you can get tickets on the spot from the ticket booth across the street. Other than the artwork, the church itself is just average looking.
