Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour was amazing! I can't remember the tour guides name but she was great. Very informative got us everywhere we needed to be. The underground of the colosseum was a great perspective to get. We did also go on the arena floor, which was way less crowded from the general admission tickets. I wish we got to spend a little more time there to take a bunch of pictures, but I understand these things are timed because there are a lot of tours that need access. We did get some good ones. There is a lot of walking and stairs but again the tour guide was great making sure the entire group stayed together but didn't rush us. Palatine hill and Roman forum were amazing to see. I highly recommend this tour if you want to have the best and most complete experience at the colosseum.

We went to the Vatican with John our tour guide. From the start of the tour to the end he was fantastic. So full of knowledge and explained everything to us in great detail. He took his time and made sure we were all together that no-one was left behind. He was so enjoyable to listen to. This was our first experience of a tour and of Rome and we are so glad we booked it with the tour operator.

We absolutely loved this tour. Everything was organized and efficient when meeting your guide, and as soon as you got in line for the Vatican (the very small line...not the big one) the tour began. Ella's breadth of knowledge was incredibly impressive. We did not stump her once. Her enthusiasm for Rome's history is infectious. I think whether you are a huge history buff or not, you would love this tour. I highly recommend seeing the Vatican with Ella!

Enjoyed the trip! Viviana was our guide and Adamo (spelling?) was our driver. We started promptly at the meeting place Piazza del popolo. We were told we would be stopping in a town called Cassino to use the bathroom and there would be drinks and pastries for purchase. My mistake was not asking how much, but would like to caution others that we only purchased 2 croissants and it was about 9€. I thought this was kind of pricey and they didn’t taste great. All the souvenir items for purchase seemed expensive as well. It looked like it was somewhat of a tourist trap, all the green buses stopped here. We then proceeded to Pompeii, on our way our guide mentioned the only restaurant open during our time was this pizza place so she went down the aisle asking who would like to order and took a count. She said the pizza would be ready at 1230. We arrived at Pompeii for our tour. I enjoyed the tour but wished it would have been longer. I apologize for not remembering the guide that took us through, but she was a blonde lady and was very good. There was a restaurant right outside the entrance that had some food. Once we get back to our bus area she said we could use the bathroom and get our pizza. I believe the pizza was about 17€ a person. It included the pizza, drink, and a pastry. The pastry was good but pizza tasted like they used chef boyardee sauce. Before leaving viviana was asking who didn’t get a pizza because there was one left. It seemed weird to me that there was concern about a pizza not purchased. Moving on to Positano, the drive once we got to view the coast was beautiful. We ended up having about an hour to walk around on our own after we established meeting point and were to access the beach. I wish we would have had more time… so pretty. There were only a couple of shops open and it looked like a restaurant was open but we didn’t buy anything. We get back on our shuttle to get back to our bus. Our main bus driver did a great job driving this tough area. We then proceed to head back to Rome with one bathroom stop back in the same cassino stop. Viviana said there would be free samples of some wine, olive oils, and limoncello. We stopped and there we sampled to try. We didn’t purchase anything from here because it seemed like it was more expensive than we could buy in Rome. We spent about 20 min each time from bathroom which was about the right amount for our group of 50. We arrived back at our meeting point around 745. It was a long day but really enjoyed it. I enjoyed Viviana telling us information as we drove through different areas. If I could do it again I might chose to split the two places up to spend more time in each place.

What a great tour! the whole experience was amazing our guide was excellent and kept the attention of my 2 boys (9 & 12) really well, there was still a little standing in lines here and there for various security checks etc, the Colosseum is a must see to anyone visiting Rome!

We liked the tour agency they were professional. Good and fast communication. But i can’t say same for the tour guide. It started well, we were very small group, but at the end we lost each other and tour guide’s only concern was the microphones machines. We drop them at the museum exist, I thought she will try to collect us but she didn’t. When i mentioned this to the agency, she tried to do something but we already had to walk the basilica and wait the full line. Plus, during the tour we didn’t see any paintings, they weren’t in the program! Sorry, but this is what happened and later she said sorry but this was a one time experience for us and we left with disappointment.

This was a really cool tour. The ruins and Palantine Hill were breathtaking. We were in awe of standing on the arena floor of the Colloseum. Our guide Fabrizio provided a ton of interesting information during the tour. The tour is pretty long, so make sure you are ready to walk a lot.

The Colosseum is in the center of the Roman city; the arena surrounded by traffic and visitors. It's certainly a monument to construction by the Roman Emperors. You can get around; today; the Colosseum was enormous ancient venue for Roman sport. In the old days, the Colosseum would hold over 50,000 spectators. Construction began in 72AD and was completed in 80AD. The Colosseum is a surviving monument to the Roman Empire that remains attractive to curious visitors.

We got a fantastic tour of the Colosseum (including the underground), Palatine Hill, and the Forum with Elisa. Elisa was very knowledgeable and engaged and really brought the history of these places to life. We felt like we learned a lot in only 3 hours and we had a great time!

From the start until the end it was absolutely brilliant experience. The tour guide was amazing and so was all the little stops and places we visited along the way. Definately recommend if you have time and want to see a bit more Italy.
