Such a fun tour! Our guide, Luca, was lovely, and told us so much about the city and Italian culture, not just the food we tried. The food itself was fantastic - charcuterie, arancini, pizza, artichokes and gelato!
We were expecting nibbles and tasters and that we’d go find some dinner afterwards, but actually didn’t even need dinner, we were stuffed - which made the tour price very good value too!
This food tour is a Rome must. Dimitri our tour guide was so interesting and took us to some stunning food places. Also learnt loads about the area and we would not have seen these otherwise. So glad we didn’t miss any of these places. My only wish was that we should have done this on our first night. That way we could come back to some of the places we saw.
Our guide was fabulous, very knowledgeable, watched for our safety and provided us with good and fun facts. The name of the tour was a bit deceiving as we had not eaten dinner and had only one food stop, very late in the tour.
We felt very safe as we rode our bikes out of the city into the countryside with our guides help. Our guide was very attentive to all our needs and explained everything along the way. It was so beautiful riding in the countryside and seeing so many things! The local lunch was a pleasant surprise stop that we all enjoyed besides all the other sites that we stopped at. Would definitely recommend to friends!
Tour was on Feb 13th at 5pm. We had Mateo as our guide. He did an excellent job with walking pace (not too fast for us with hip and knee issues and not too slow for the fitter ones). We could hear and understand him just fine as our group was small enough to enjoy the whole experience. Actually, I think we had a better experience because of the fun group we had. We had a good mix of English and American couples and two solo ladies! Our family was my husband, me and our teenager and our friend's had their 5 year old. Everyone had a great time and we got to learn a lot about Trastevere as well as sampling some great street food. You do not need dinner after this tour! Highly recommend this tour.
We have been in Italy for over a week and can’t believe we didn’t have an experience this amazing sooner! Everything was outstanding and we’re pretty critical generally:). The communication beforehand was through and clear, directions to the meeting point spot on and we were greeted immediately. Our pre cooking class tasting started a little late due to the Rome marathon being held that morning and causing some transportation issues but even with that there was excellent communication. Once the tasting started our guide Nina did an awesome job walking us through the tastes of Italy from artichokes to 30 year old aged Balsamic Vinegar. Nina took such good care of all of us and even though there were 16 participants we felt very cared for individually. After the tasting we headed to a close by restaurant and were escorted by our next guide, Julia, who was just as amazing as our first. Julia taught us how to make tiramisu and pasta and our time was extra enjoyable. The staff at the venue was supportive and very attentive and then we tried wonderful wines as well. I can’t say enough positive praise about our experience!
The food was delicious! Our tour guide, Amandio, was knowledgeable and very personable. He engaged my two teenage sons effortlessly. I highly recommend this tour!
Sylvia our guide was fantastic from start to finish. Very knowledgeable and made it a very enjoyable experience. Great wine and the food was delicious . Would thoroughly recommend this to do whilst in Rome.
We had a wondering time on the e-bike tour. Highly recommended! The tour guide provided thorough instructions on use of the bikes and ensured we were safe at all times. It was fun seeing the amazing sites from a different viewpoint. And we had the best pastries and coffee for breakfast. Thank you Duarte!
This was going to be cancelled as the guide for the food tour was sick, but a last minute stand in was arranged and she was fantastic. Her name is Greta and she was very friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to chat to. We felt that the tour was very good value for money and as we were the only ones on the tour, it was great to have Greta to ourselves. Would highly recommend this tour 😊.
Great street food tour with Walking Gourmet and our guide Tiziana.Tasted half a dozen different types of Roman street food from Supli to Pizza to Gelato and some in between.Overall a very enjoyable couple of hours spent getting a taste of the real Rome
Very enjoyable food tour with Julia, we had lots of delicious tastings while enjoying the company of the rest of our small group. Got to sample food in some genuinely local small businesses. Recommended.
Great guide with lots of local knowledge. Patient and kind to our needs.Fabrizia was an excellent guide that agreed to continue the tour with just the two of us. The food was excellent and lots of it !
