Wow! Visiting the Amalfi Coast for a day after spending time in Rome was like another world! Our guide Roberta was knowledgeable and engaging. The hike to the top of the limoncello farm was difficult (200 large steps up), but worth it in the end, just take your time. The views at the top were incredible. We had a perfect amount of free time for lunch and exploring/shopping. The train/ferry were seamless thanks to Roberta. Would absolutely recommend this day trip to anyone staying in Rome looking for a unique experience and visit to the gorgeous Amalfi Coast!

Could not ask for a better way to spend a day! Antonio was our guide and was so informative and knowledgeable about Florence art & culture. We always felt safe and no rushed during any stop, plenty of time to explore and wander. He then arranged a comfortable and relaxing ride though the Tuscany countryside, views galore! The wine paring with Andrea and his family vineyard left us speechless. five star tour with too much to mention in this review… just book it and thank me later!

Ostia Antica is definitely a place one should visit when in Italy. Our guide, Roberto was an amazing tour guide. He first met us at the meeting point, then fully explained the basics of going to and from Ostia by train. He is very knowledgeable and was always open to any questions anyone on the tour had. The tour itself was very informative and entertaining. Highly recommend Roberto and City Wonders Tours.

We decided to take the train from Roma Termini station to Sicily (Taormina)

Overall, it was a good experience to do at least once. Our plan was to take the train to Sicily and then fly back to Rome at the end of our trip.

It is definitely worth booking early to enjoy cheap rates and also to go ahead and book first class. Our tickets were 47 euros each.

We sat in Row 16, which unfortunately did not have a direct window, so something to consider when booking. I am not sure how you would know which seats had windows or not.

But a window is very important as the countryside and seaside views are amazing!

There are good windows in the snack bar area that you can look out.

    Other information:

    No Wi-Fi

    Plugs at each seat

Limited food selection in vending machines (2 of 3 machines were out of order). So bring plenty of food and drinks with you. We brought several sandwiches and boxes of wine.

9 hour train ride. Left 15 minutes late but arrived right on time

Multiple stops but really not a good idea to get off the train except on the Ferry

The Ferry experience was neat. Approximately 30 minutes and we decided to get off the train and go to top of ship to enjoy fresh air and the ocean.

Decent bathrooms but ran out of water half way through trip.

Overall, if you have the time its worth the trip!

This trip was one of the highlights of our time in Italy. Our tour guide, Antonio. Was amazing and was so knowledgeable about Pompeii and it’s history. Lunch at the winery was also excellent- great foods and wines.
The tour bus was very comfortable and having our train tickets sorted for us ahead of time made things very easy to navigate.
Would recommend to anyone interested in the history of Pompeii

This was a wonderful day for us, perfectly planned and executed by Eternal Tours in Rome where we were based. The Pompeii tour led by Dario was immaculate and the express train between Rome and Naples was very comfortable, fitting in nicely with our dinner plans in Rome in the evening. Thank you so much for this great value experience!

Beautiful day trip from Rome. Valentina was great tour guide. Taking the train was such a better/faster option than some of the coach tours I have seen online. In addition to the train they provide super nice and clean vans. I felt safe and well taken care of as a single female traveler from the states.

    Things to know:
You’re gonna walk. and walk. AND walk. Amongst a lot of tourists from around the world. It is touristy, Souvenirs and food are overpriced but the views are spectacular

Also the roads are very small and curvy. Wouldn’t advise if you get car sick.

We immensely enjoyed our sunset dinner cruise with Kingston 1000 Island Cruises.

We sailed on the 17th of August on the Island Star out of Kingston. We had reserved a premium table next to the window which was wonderful and we were only one row away from the front of the vessel with a great view of the band that was performing east coast music. Our starters were delicious with a nice selection of cheeses and fruit and the amuse bouche of the tomato and bocconcini. We ordered the French 75 and the Mimosa-rita for our drinks. The French 75 (gin, prosecco and lemon) was just perfect but I didn’t like my Mimosa-Rita and our server (Karlee) replaced it with an Aperol Spritz at no additional cost. The Spritz was good…but a little dash of St. Germain would make it better :)

The salad was fresh and tasty and our meals were unexpectedly delicious. Immense compliments to Wheelhouse Culinary! My husband had the Braised rib and I had the Arctic char - both were plentiful and beautifully presented. The rib was cooked to perfection and fell apart . It was very flavourful and the artic char melted in my mouth. I had ordered a side of sautéed mushrooms and they were perfect - nicely done and a perfect accompaniment to both our meals.

Karlee - our server - was patient and kind and efficient…a big thank you to her.

Now to the cruise…it was a beautiful night - great sunset and we were able to escape the rain which occurred during our cruise and conveniently ended when we returned to port…great timing on the captains part! We were able to see some sights before the sun set and the band leader gave us some local history on our way out of port…as well as details on the geography of what we were passing by. We greatly enjoyed the band - unfortunately they had a problem with one of their amplifiers when water (from the rain) shorted it out. They took it in their stride and continued to play with one amp and a smile. We highly recommended this tour!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a tour company. DO NOT USE THEM!!! The descriptions says the tour begins at 6.30 am but pickup will be 30-60 minutes before the tour begins. Representative came to the hotel at 5.15 for pickup, stayed for 1 minute and left without us. Not only was he earlier than the given time period he also did not wait until the actual pickup time for us. I paid $900 for a private tour, there was no one else to pickup?? why did he come early? why did he rush off without us? Numerous calls were immediately placed to the representative and the tour operator and no answer. So disappointed and not what I expected for the price I paid. I filed a complaint and disputed the charges and they have a no refund policy. This is a scam.

I travelled with colleagues to Rome on a business trip after the Xmas vacation and decided to book this on the spot. Well worth the very reasonable cost. The travel was smooth, instructions clear, and the tour in Pompeii led by Angela was first class. Great day grazie.
