  • The ranking of tours, activities, and experiences available on Tripadvisor is determined by several factors including the revenue generated by Tripadvisor from these bookings, the frequency of user clicks, and the volume and quality of customer reviews. Occasionally, newly listed offerings may be prioritized and appear higher in the list. The specific placement of these new listings may vary.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We fell in love with Bologna during this wonderful tour. We rode the train from Florence, where we were staying, and were met in old Bologna by our guide Marco. A native of Bologna, Marco led our group of 12 on a historical and gastronomic tour of the city’s alleyways and plazas, through amazing markets and cafes. We stopped for small tastes in several small cafes, watched pasta being made, and had two sit-down meals with wine in different restaurants, each unique and so tasty. Marco shared his insights into the food and history of Balogna. We finished the tour with the best gelato we had ever tasted. Bellissimo!!!

Not only did we learn so much about the production of Parmigiana Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the curing of Prosciutto de Modena, we ate great food all day. The tour was worth every penny. The transportation, guide and stops along the way were top notch. Lunch was prepared by Barbara and it was a highlight. Book this tour now!!!!

Federica was knowledgeable, very expressive, enthusiastic and friendly. She produced some excellent cold cuts and cheeses at the brilliant Osteria Del Sole. A very good tour all in all.

The Pasta Mama was outstanding!! We learned to make 3 different types of pasta, and then our expert prepared them for us to try. They were delicious!! She also shared her delicious Bolognese with us! It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it!!!

We had a great time cooking with Alessia. We learnt how to make two different types of pasta and tiramasu from scratch with great tips from Alessia. We finished the session eating and drinking some lovely wines hand picked by Alessia. We would recommend.

My husband and I had an amazing day on this tour. Our driver didn't speak a lot of English but was good with Google Translate. He let us play with the schedule a little bit and made an additional stop while also dropping us back off at the airport. The Lambo museum is small and doesn't take more than 10 minutes so don't be disappointed. The Ferrari Museum is bigger but the souvenir shop across the street is far cheaper than the company store on the premises (Hats were $30 vs $90 inside). The parmigianno factory was fascinating and had a great guide who gave a hands on demonstration (I would suggest going early in the morning when they are actually retrieving the new wheels). The balsamic farm lunch was an amazing amount of food and was absolutely delicious. Great tour and great people all the way through!

We booked a last minute food tour with Paolo to learn more about the food in Bologna. It was well worth our time. Paolo was knowledgeable about the food and the city of Bologna. We learned a lot about the city and food that we may not have learned had we not done this tour. Paolo was delightful and we enjoyed our time with him.

Excellent day out, factory tours are well worth paying the extra for. Our guide Ricki was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Nice lunch following Lambo and Ferrari to get us ready for Pagani which was another level in engineering and attention to detail . Highly recommend.

This is the only way to explore Bologna, Frederica was a great guide and we saw so much that we would not have experienced without the tour. Fab food, wine and history! We have done food walking tours in a lot of places but this is definitely one of the best. Great communication and easy to book- would have rated it 6 stars if I could!

Guide full of information, fun and useful. There is a list of typical dishes with photos of the dishes and places to eat them. The audio guide is a no small plus!
