Early May or September, October hiking along coastal paths with open Mediterranean vista's and authentic family restaurants for long lazy lunches.
Watching Fishermen and locals hang out in the piazza and children playing is a special bonus to experience their il dolce fa niente lifestyle.

... was amazed by what greeted us there...a vibrant town full of shops, restaurants, and tourists!!! Nice to see a piazza with a fountain, a municipal building that looked interesting, and another play area for kids.
The narrow old streets are buzzing with nonnas with their grandchildren, men discussing daily life, children playing or hurrying to school, fishermen taking their boats out and so forth.

The beach is extremely safe (and their are lifeguards if needed) and the waves and currents are minimal, so very good for young children.
We rented an umbrella and two comfortable sunbeds for 23 euros and made a deal for our kids.
