Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you don't want to have fun, participate in a hands-on lesson, learn about shopping the local markets and wind it up by eating the absolute best food in Venice ( that you made yourself!) than do not take this class! My 27 y/o granddaughter and l (70 y/o semidisabled female) rate this a 10 Star experience. Five stars just aren't enough for this professional chef, his easygoing and fun attitude, and delicious recipes. Our trip was three months in four cities in Italy and France, and this class/experience was THE #1 Highlight of all that we booked!! If you enjoy cooking and learning new techniques and recipes, then THIS is the MUST DO in Venice. We loved it so much that l am planning on another class with this chef for our next time there. [ This is a very belated review due to my belief that l had already posted a review].

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at our class. Manuela managed to keep all 12 of us in line as we prepared Tiramisu and pasta and ravioli from scratch! It was a blast! We met some really nice people in the class from all over the world! It was such a fantastic experience!

This was by far the highlight of our family’s trip to Venice!! From the spectacular view of Venice from Patrizia’s home, to the well thought out plan for teaching us how to make Tiramisu and a variety of pastas, to the demo of traditional Venitian dishes, the delicious wines and take home gift with recipes, all among a backdrop of a relaxing home and music, this was a night we will remember forever! Thank you for welcoming us into your home. We left Venice with more than some recipes…we left with a beautiful new friend.

Marco the chef was great! He was very informative and flexible with choosing foods we would cook. Best part was we did the cooking, mostly. He did some himself but he instructed us thoroughly and we had wine and food, including tiramasue, which we made!

Hey there! So, let me tell you about this awesome chocolate tasting I had at Venchi in Venice. It was seriously amazing! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by super friendly staff who were totally into sharing all the cool stuff about chocolate and Venchi.

The tasting itself was like a journey through a chocolate wonderland. They had all these different chocolates to try, and each one was more delicious than the last. From creamy milk chocolates to intense dark ones, it was a flavor explosion in my mouth!

But what really made it special was the staff. They were so chill and fun, and they made the whole experience even better by telling us all about the history of Venchi and how they make their chocolates. It was like hanging out with friends while eating the best chocolate ever!

And can we talk about the vibe? The store was right in the heart of Venice, and the whole place had this cool, laid-back vibe that just added to the experience.

So yeah, my chocolate tasting adventure at Venchi in Venice was seriously the highlight of my trip. If you're ever in Venice and you love chocolate, you gotta check it out. It's the best!

Hugo was a wonderful TukTuk tour guide. We got a great understanding of Lisbon during the four hour tour. His language skills were perfect and he was so personable. We highly recommend him.

As good as it gets! Massimo is a master chef and raconteur. You can learn more about Venice, Venetian food and Italian cooking from him in four hours than you would in a lifetime. Absolutely delightful time and the highlight of our visit to that city of wonders.

Definitely worth the time and effort! Had originally booked for a morning market and cooking experience but because of New Year's the market was closed an extra day so re-booked for Saturday evening--which meant no market but that was okay--I saw the market! Met Lorenzo just down from his apartment with 3 other people and we had a great time. He was patient and explained things very well--made herb encrusted sea bass, homemade ravioli with radicchio and onions, and tiramisu--and the recipes are simple, flavorful, and I'll definitely use them again and experiment with different pasta shapes, styles, etc. He also showed us a great bread/pizza dough recipe and we made some of that--very light (not pizza--he doesn't have the proper oven)

    Make time and do this!

One of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. So much fun! We made pasta, memories and friends. Even bought the kitchen gadgets as soon as we got home to recreate the recipes.

Did this class with my brother. We cooked two dishes and a dessert. We got the recipes after the class. We had the freshest produce and the most amazing taste. The chef taught us tricks for cutting, cleaning and maximizing the flavors. We had the most enjoyable dinner and conversation with her afterwards. I am so grateful for this time. Such a wonderful relaxing evening and I can’t wait to make this for friends and family when I go home.

Our experience was amazing! My partner and I didn’t know what to expect. Our menu included handmade pasta, vegan gnocchi and an amazing pizza focaccia bread with many small things to taste...amazing wine and and a fresh lemonade with the mint from the garden. Max is an amazing teacher and an excellent host. He is really knowledgeable about food, the region, and history. Overall, one of the best parts of our trip! There is a lot of vegan food in Italian cousine, and Max made us see that.
At the market we bought really good radicchio and we used it for our gnocchi, with an amazing salad sauce too ....we'll come back for sure!

Cooking Class with chef Carolyn… what a fun and yummy experience. We learned to prepare a variety of italian dishes (Crema del doge, lingue di gatto, different cichetti and most important… homemade pasta). She explained things well and made steps simple, as well as sharing tips along the way. She was telling these little funny anecdotes and made us feel welcome to her home. Highly recommendable.
