I was at your store on 4-18-24 and bought a leather jacket for $360 euro to be custom made, and I am wondering when it will ship?

Located on Via della Scala, the perfume shop can be considered as the oldest pharmacy in Europe, because it also deals with herbal medicine. After all, the Dominican monks also started with just rose water. The pharmacy has been operating at this place since 1612, so it can be considered as the oldest continuously operating enterprise. The store occupies part of the premises of the former monastery. In the corridor, you are greeted by dried flowers and herbs hanging from the ceiling, ideologically preparing you for the profile of the institution. Marble sculptures of Igea and Galen, representing health and medicine, greet visitors in the atrium. The sales hall is located in one of the chapels of the monastery. The vault by Paolino Sarti and the Gothic cabinets demonstrate the seriousness and history of the institution. The portraits of all the pharmacy directors since 1612, hung on the walls, give solidity and historical significance to the Green Hall. I even wonder how they were able to gather everyone? Did they really draw everyone before the appointment? The next hall of the Herboristeria was called Spezieria in the Middle Ages. It impresses with a rich, even slightly pretentious decor. Fantastic animals and birds, sphinxes and dragons in the Rococo style of the XVIII century are in good agreement with earlier cabinets of the XVII century, in which perfumes, various apothecary dishes and instruments of the previous 4 centuries are placed. Well, actually about the main thing, about perfumery. I wasn't going to buy anything, but I asked about the prices. High. There can be no other way here. After all, the aristocracy of Florence used to buy medicines, poisons and perfumes here. The position obliges...

This was the second time my husband and I visited Florence and the second time we visited Enoteca Pontevecchio. This little wine shop is very welcoming, and they are very knowledgeable about their incredible wine. We also love the atmosphere. We have ordered wine to be shipped home to Texas both times. Laura is incredible and always a pleasure. If you visit Florence, you will not be disappointed in a visit to this wine shop.

Goccia Shoes is the only shoe store to shop at when in Italy. It is worth making the trip from other cities. The hospitality, the craftsmanship, and the pure joy that buying from Goccia gave me is second to none. They made the entire process so smooth and didn't feel pressure to buy anything at all. They allow me to try on multiple sizes and colors and in the end I decided to get custom ones made. I can not recommend this store as well as Noi enough. Anytime I am in Italy I will make sure to stop by and not only say hi to the amazing staff but also to get more high quality leather and shoes. Thank you again for the amazing experience and I can not wait to receive my shoes.

First trip to Florence and it would have not been complete without an italian leather coat. After some research I found La Pelle and am so glad we did! The service was stellar, selection was fantastic, and the price was reasonable for such amazing quality. A fabulous gem of a store and I could not have been happier!

One of few top notch leather stores in Florance. Located: Via Giovan Battista Zannoni, 9, 50123 Firenze. This man has such a love and passion for his work and it sure screams quality and are beautiful pieces. He is a true master and a very sweet man. I can’t say enough good things about him. I so recommend him.

Do not be fooled by: The Michelangelo Gallery, LA GALLERIA S.R.L
    Piazza Santa Croce, 8
    50122 FIRENZE
This place the tour guides like to take you and they are using the real Michelangelo reputation as theirs. I have seen the bad items from them and stories how they do not return an email, phone call, nothing. Bad, Bad quality and business people.

I came to Florence on a mission to purchase a high quality leather jacket made in Italy and designed and crafted by Italians. I knew enough to steer clear of the leather market, There is a dizzying array of shops that say leather factory etc. I wasn’t seeing the supple soft lamb skin that I coveted or the styles I prefer. I discovered Davide Cerasi looking through Rick Steves Guidebook. Conveniently located near the Ponte Vecchio, I knew I was in the right place to purchase my dream coat. Davide is Italian, designs all the jackets and supervises the excellent workmanship to produce a superior product that is classic and will make you happy for years to come. On this warm day he took a look at me and offered water right away. Personable and kind he picked out a jacket that fit like a glove, but I prefer something longer. No problem. With his gracious help I chose a black jacket with brown cuffs and collar, which zips from top and bottom. The leather is what you’re looking for, soft and supple. He is personable and fun to talk with. I never felt pressured to buy and I was confident that this truly was the real deal. We ended the sale with a selfie, goodby hugs and kisses and a promise to stop in before I leave Florence. Check him out, you won’t be sorry.

Charming little gem of a shop. Saw it as a recommendation on TripAdvisor, so followed them for a bit on Instagram, before my trip to Florence and was determined to visit.
I was not disappointed. Beautiful photographs of Florence, covering a wide range of topics. Each photo is individually numbered and presented beautifully, in any size you want.
I purchased two photos but could have easily bought more!

Massai Orafi makes and sells the most beautiful Florentine style jewelry. Every piece is lovely and unique. It was difficult to choose only a few. Glenda Massai was exceptionally helpful - patiently showing me and my daughter many pieces. Glenda is a third generation Massai, and she introduced us to both her father and uncle who were there as well. They even sized a ring for my daughter while we waited. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Florence!

Incredible shop. Looking for a gemstone? A jewel? Or just an idea for a present? This is the place. The selection of stones is just beyond expectations. Bring your sunglasses, after a while you'll become colorblind. The owner is a true expert on minerals - and David Bowie too!

Such fantastic high quality bags - I was thrilled to find something so beautiful and at a reasonable price. When I got home I found a problem with the strap and emailed Roberta’s customer service. They replied almost immediately and sent me a replacement strap, without any charge, which arrived at my home in England within days. What incredible service. I hope to visit Florence again one day and will definitely return to Roberta.

This review is for the 5 day Grape Trotters Piemonte tour in September of 2021. If you read nothing else, know that if you enjoy wine, the Grape Trotters tours are second to none. I have visited Italy several times, and in 2019 I had the opportunity to take a couple of the Tuscany in a Bottle day trips (Brunello and Elite Cru) which were magnificent. However, I discovered that they also offered multi-day trips in several regions of Italy and France. My original trip was for the Rhone region of France, which was supposed to depart in June of 2021. Covid got in the way of that trip, but the Piemonte tour was still a go in September of 2021. The stress levels were high as the trip approached given the pandemic, but I received an email a couple weeks beforehand confirming the trip would proceed! Our group was small, only 8 people, which included Rebecca, our guide. Every day was amazing. I had thought that once we went to Barolo, the trip would go downhill, but I was 100% wrong. I learned about Roero and Barbera, Arneis and Timarasso, and several other varietals. One might think this tour was for wine experts, but not at all. Its for anyone who enjoys wine. Aside from the pleasure of trying so many different wines, I learned a staggering amount about the region. We visited several wineries that have limited exports to the US, and they provide contact info if you would like to stay in touch. Two of the wineries produce fewer than 20,000 bottles per year, and they make some spectacular wines. I believe only one of the wineries had any substantial exports to the US. Rebecca handled all the shipping to save us some money (its a bit pricier to ship from the winery, though you can if you want to) and I shipped a lot of wine. Beyond wine, every restaurant we ate at was well researched and spectacular. Some places had a course menu with a wine pairing and others were a la Carte. We even got to have lunch at one of the wineries where the food was prepared by the mother of the winery owner. On top of that there was still plenty of time on your own to do some exploring. The hotel was the top rated hotel in Alba, and the staff was wonderful. I have never had a better trip to Italy, or anywhere else. If you enjoy wine, you MUST try one of these tours.
