Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the main square of Siena. It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be. Granted, I unfortunately wasn’t there during their famous horse racing. I could’ve spent all day there just looking at all the old architecture and tall tower. I bought some gelato at a nearby cafe, had a seat, and was fortunate to spot a wedding. I couldn’t even imagine the price tag of the wedding being held there. This is a must see for anyone visiting the city.

We recommend that you buy the Porta del Cielo all inclusive pass at the Duomo. Depending on the time of day you may have to line up to purchase the ticket but it was well worth the money. It grants you entrance to the Duomo, Crypt, Battistero, the Library, the Museo dell’Opera and the Porta del Cielo. The ticket is good for three days, one admission to each feature. The views from the Porta del Cielo tour are stunning! This is the only part of the ticket for which you must book a time.
WARNING!! This tour and a visit to the Panorama in the Museo dell’Opera Are NOT for those afraid of heights, suffer from claustrophobia or those persons with mobility issues—there are well over 70 steps to climb just to begin these two features and very narrow walkways to navigate. Having said that—do Not miss the stunning artwork and views if you are lucky enough to be in Siena.

A must see inside the Duomo, the 5 minutes waiting time is 100% worth it. It is simply amazing and it is the most impressive small library I have ever seen.

Walking around on the streets of Siena can be very relaxing as there is no traffic and as the historic center is very well preserved. Stunning arhitecture.

Beautiful views. We were a bit surprised when they would not let us bring a water bottle to the top. After you hand in your ticket, they will assign you a locker to put all of your belongings in except our phones.

This experience was amazing! Lella was amazing as well as her sous chef and her interpreter Julie. You can tell that Lella is incredibly passionate about cooking because it shows in her food as well as her teaching. We learned how to make homemade spaghetti by hand, soup, pasta sauce (the best!) pork lion with potatoes and panna cotta! Everything was honestly delicious! The class was also very fun! I highly recommend!!

I had arranged a tour for my students who are not of age to drink, but I wanted them to visit a vineyard while touring in Italy. I expected a quick, hurried tour because students probably aren't their main target. What we received was beyond my expectations. Christian greeted us so kindly and gave such an educational presentation to my group. He is truly there to teach and share his expertise of the process. Please stop and visit this gem of a vineyard!

This interesting exhibit is well worth your time. Lots of interesting rooms and works of art, but less a museum than a historic government building which has preserved its key treasures and rooms. I recommend it.

We were in town for the palio and looking for something to do during the day time. This museum complex is truly amazing with a wide variety of components including the former hospital ward. There are so many different elements and it is huge. There were very few people when we visited and it was a great experience. It is a little hard to figure out where you are going but the staff were helpful and the numbers provide good markers so you can make sure you don't miss anything.
