A cool building in and of itself, the Rijksmuseum is worth a visit to see the works of the Dutch masters like Rembrandt and Vermeer up close.

Such a poignant visit to this place. It was great to see that the museum stands there as a reminder of the tragedy that not only happened to this family but to millions of families.

Great collection, although I would have loved to learn a bit more about Van Gogh's life. The paintings and drawings were stunning.

Wouldn't recommend the current exhibition (colour as a language, or something like that?), as it didn't quite touch upon the rest of Van Gogh's work.

What a lovely little neighborhood in the canal area - charming shops, lovely restaurants and beautiful architecture. Somewhat less crowded and crazy than other areas - this was a beautiful neighborhood to wander

I expected a boring lookout tower but this was actually really cool. There was great music playing, a cool restaurant and bar, fun photo spots with art pieces, and interesting information on both the buildings you were overlooking as well as the history of Amsterdam. Worth a visit.

An extremely interesting and informative experience. Well worth the visit and a definite must see. Would go again as I'm sure there would be something that I might have missed.

The collection is not very big, but it's worth seeing every exhibit. Visit this place if the modern art is what you love. Outside there is a very cozy garden to stay for a bit more time.

This was one of the houses in which Rembrandt lived and worked whilst in Amsterdam. That alone makes it worth visiting. You can see some of the rooms and see where he actually painted. I used my Amsterdam Card for admission. This was quite a contrast from the Huis Willet-Holthuysen and the Van Loon, as those two families were very wealthy and lived in elegant mansions. Rembrandt's house here was neither - it isn't surprising that an artist did not live in luxury! So many different things to see in this city and if you are interested in seeing how one of the world's most famous artists lived and work, visit here.

The zoo is beautifully landscaped and has a good range of animals and facilities. Next door is the excellent Plantage restaurant and it's a nice area of the city. The zoo is large, with plenty of places to stop and a number of interesting indoor enclosures, including a great butterfly house, I have slightly mixed feelings about visiting a zoo but overall the enclosures were large, although some - including for the lions - were too cramped. On balance, I would recommend it.

Definitely worth transiting through the Centraal station! It is busy, it is beautiful, it is uniquely Dutch!

Great museum to spend an hour in. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't overly busy. Staff were very helpful. The church in the attic itself is beautiful but the preceding floors are all interesting too.

Interesting tour of the Heineken company, not so much a functional brewery anymore, but great mix of history, beer tasting, and interactive items.
