Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Rotterdam, Delta, and The Hague small group tour from Amsterdam was an exceptional experience. The tour offered a perfect mix of modern architecture, stunning landscapes, and rich history. Rotterdam’s innovative skyline, the impressive Delta Works, and the political heart of The Hague were all highlights. Our guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, making the day informative and enjoyable. The small group setting allowed for a more personalized experience, and the whole day was well-organized. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore beyond Amsterdam!

The nine (9) hour Keukenhof Tulip Gardens and Zaanse Windmill Tour was spectacular. We spent the morning in Zaanse viewing the windmills and historical village, and visiting a local dairy farm/ cheese and wooden clog manufacturing facility. Each stop provided its own historical interest and photographic opportunities. We then traveled on our private bus to the Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. Let me start by saying that we missed the height of the blooming season by several weeks (an early Spring in the Netherlands). That said the gardens are spectacular. It is hard to believe that the gardens are only open 2.5 months each year during the blooming season. Even without the full glory of the tulips the grounds are beautiful. To compensate for an early Spring, the gardens provided hundreds of temporary planters filled with beautiful tulips and daffodils to appease the late flock of tourists. The sculpture and rhododendrons (and other woody flowering bushes) are amazing. We took hundreds of photographs to remember the experience. To top off our experience, we purchased five dozen tulip and daffodil bulbs that will be shipped to my home in October that I will enjoy for years to come. A wonderful day well worth the price.

Let me first say that this is a full day of activities. Organizers and drivers were all pleasant. The tour included three stops: Tulip Farm (1.5 hours), Keukenhof Gardens (4 hours), and Windmill Cruise (1.5 hours). It was all delightful, but my favorite was the Tulip Farm. The tulips were endless. I’ve never seen colors that vibrant in my life! At the end of the day, I felt as though I’d gotten more than my money’s worth. This tour was the highlight of my Netherland’s trip.

Our guide for the day was Teun. He picked us up at the hotel in the morning and returned us to the hotel in the afternoon. This made for a very relaxing experience. Teun was very knowledgeable about the area we traveled to and was able to answer all of our questions. He was very flexible with the day's plans and extremely accommodating. The windmill that operated as a saw mill was interesting and well worth the time visiting. We greatly enjoyed seeing the countryside and the surrounding communities. This was one of the best tours we had while in Amsterdam.

This is a MUST tour if you have limited time. Windmill tour was most instructive, with the history and reasons for windmill development, instrumental in cocoa bean crushing, making this the capitol of the cocoa trade in Europe. Windmill sawmills(there is a windmill available to view the sawmill) producing lumber for building homes and businesses.
If you have the time, Windmill tour is worth one day, about 4-6 hours. Marken and Volendam a second day, 5-8 hours. Volendam offers history, eclectic shops, cafes, restaurants, cheese factory. Lunch or dinner at Hotel Spaander (19th century hotel) is a MUST, guests included Eleanor Roosevelt, Walt Disney and Muhammad Ali. Some 19th century artists who stayed here paid for their stay with artwork, displayed on the walls. Frequent ferry to/from Marken, EU10.00 one way. Marken sights include a wooden shoe factory. A tour will provide many interesting facts and history of this former island in the former Zuider Zee (salt water), now Ijselmeer(fresh water) created by damming 1927-32.

The your was too long 3 hrs to get there, 1.5 hrs in Bruge then 3 hrs back. Beautiful place, should’ve skipped this time. We left at 8:00am and got back at night time. I was exhausted, too far to travel on a day trip.
