Kees was great! Fun to taste all the classics. The pickled herring was the most surprising and tasty. I’d definitely suggest.

A fantastic food tour around the Jordaan area. Lots of history and fascinating stories, coupled with delicious food and drink! Alison was a fabulous, knowledgable guide who helped a group of strangers have fun and enjoy a great experience together. Thank you Alison!

Amazing introduction to cuisine of the Netherlands with an amazing guide. As a picky eater I was hesitant to do a food tour, but I would happily say that I tried and enjoyed everything we had from fish to deserts. Katya was a wonderful tour guide who was extremely personable and happy to answer any questions we had about the food we were eating as well as the city itself. 10/10 experience that I would happily recommend to anyone visiting!

We went on this back in march (sorry just getting round to reviewing now!), and it was incredible! Really amazing food and drinks (and lots and lots of it), and great atmosphere with a local tour guide and great opportunity to meet other guests and chat. More than worth the price, it was the favourite thing I did on this trip!

A great tour of food in Amsterdam! There is no shortage of places to eat in Amsterdam for sure. It can be overwhelming. Our guide Holly gave us a great tour with some great local restaurants of Dutch food and drinks.

Great one on one time with Olga. Very informative and the food was great! She also shared fun historical facts along the way.

We have just booked Eating Europe Amsterdam! That's how much we enjoyed our Eating Europe Athens tour. We thoroughly loved the tour. Plenty of time to wander from one stop to the next while enjoying the food and getting familiar with the areas we walked through. Nice variety of options. Dessert made right in front of us, a hidden gem of a coffee shop where we got to try Turkish coffee (that was a surprising experience), a local shop with meats and cheese plus the outdoor market with a variety of foods to bring home. Christina was informative and welcoming. Clearly we are sold on this concept :)

Marten was an amazing tour guide. He knew the area of Amsterdam inside and out, telling us about daily life in Amsterdam and enlightening us about their political system. why there are so many bikes, etc. Most importantly, he took us to the best Dutch food booths at the Albert Cyup Marketplace (which was wonderful). We samples fresh off the griddle Stroopwaffels, Bitterballen (A deep fried crunchy meat and potatoes ragout),Herring and BAtteer fried cod (both incredible), Poffertjes Small puffy pancakes) and a selection of cheeses from the area.

This is my third food tour using WithLocals, and Marten did not disappoint. In fact, I've decided that with every new city I visit, I will have to book a tour!

Marten's love of his country and his city were evident during this three-hour tour. He helped us understand how Amsterdam has been influenced by a melting pot of cultures and cuisines, and he shared tidbits about the country's social systems, the way it embraces multiculturalism, and strives to support families and the environment.

Along the way, I fell in love with this vibrant, cosmopolitan city. We tried some tasty treats, including locally produced cheeses, herring from a long-time fish vendor, stroopwafels made as we watched, and Suranamese food at family-owned restaurant. We strolled through the Pijp district, the Albert Cuyp market, and local parks.

Food was part of the tour, but Marten made it so much more than just a food tour. I would highly recommend this experience.

(Note: This was for a trip I took in May 2019, but I was recently reminded of the wonderful experience and decided to post here.)

We showed up here and were told that they could not facilitate the tasting as they are understaffed. We were told in compensation a free wheel of cheese will be given as a well as a short story about cheese production (which I honestly just could have looked up on YouTube). We did not get a tasting beyond that offered to all customers. We did get our cheese but was a disappointing hassle and unpleasant experience especially considering the staff were quite irritated at the fact that we were there for the tasting in the first place.

This was our first visit to Amsterdam and my first trip abroad since my PD diagnosis, so I wanted to get some local help to ensure both I and my partner got the most out of our short trip

I chose Bespoke Amsterdam Experiences as they offered all the activities we were interested in - food, tulips, windmills and boats

It was very easy to make contact with them to ask questions - especially about my mobility issues, and how this could be accommodated in the activities we were interested in. After the first contact, we had a dedicated person who handled all follow-up questions and bookings before and throughout our trip, which was very comforting and at no time was there any confusion or problem with language nuances

On our first full day, we booked a private Dutch food tour. Despite the rain, our guide Kayleigh was excellent. She had been fully briefed about my condition and was always aware of my needs, whilst making sure my partner did not miss out on anything

We got to try new food and drink along with the local knowledge on where best to find this. For anyone also interested in knowing more about the places they visit, we also got a very detailed and knowledgeable history of the location and food/drink we experienced

Bespoke Amsterdam Experiences not only listened to my upfront concerns and needs, but they also went out of their way to adapt the experience around these and at no time did I feel awkward or uncomfortable

After the trip, we took away an amazing list of restaurants, bars and food to try during our stay

Had a great time with the radiant Fusina. She was a great guide, an interesting person, and a true "insider" in Amsterdam.

We had a great day with Stefka at Holland Tours and would highly recommend to anyone interested. My family and I spent the day on a custom tour of Gouda and the Dutch countryside. Stefka gave us great insight into the Dutch history and culture as we drove to/from Amsterdam. She was accommodating to our needs, adjusting the schedule as we went through the day. It was exactly the day we were hoping for. When we come back again to Amsterdam, we will be using Holland Tours.
