Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a really beautiful synagogue and had a bonus of free entry to the Jewish museum and an audioguide included as part of the ticket. The guide was really interesting and included the history of the synagogue but also how the whole complex. For an insight into how the history of Jews in Amsterdam, this is definitely worth a visit.

Very crowded but still a very beautiful city. We stayed at Durty Nelly's and would not stay there again. Minimum personal space and no convenient features.

A fascinating Renaissance church including a towering bell tower. Rembrandt is buried here. Sadly, the church was closed when we visited, so we were unable to go inside.

Lovely church with an audioguide. It was interesting to hear about the history. We spent around an hour here but it was a good way to kill some time in the city

Small, The doorman is very well educated and friendly. The perfect place to stay some hours in Amsterda.

This church is beautiful was well as its surrounding, the church is very old and the interior is studding. I personally loved to sit there in the benches adorned by the silence. There is also a small area which sells souvenirs which are contributions to the church. Highly recommend it!

Nice working church - there was a service going on in a side chapel plus full community noticeboards. Admittedly, it was cold inside so only time for a small time for reflection.

    We liked:
    - The place
    - The room (we were sea view in a suite)
    - The swimming pools, in particular for the babies
    - Feeling of not being in a crowed place
    - Staff
    - 45' from the airport
    - Restaurants, food variety

    We would have liked:
    - a 2nd restaurant-buffet: there, is the crowd, and kitchen was not able to follow

There was someone in a room next to the entrance of the Mosque. It's allowed to get inside but for a woman, it's needed to cover our head. There's a plastic box with headscarfs near the entrance so that you can wear it. It's nice to be in the hall and looked at the interior of the mosque. Beautiful buildingto see.

I attended the Sunday morning service, which was conducted in Dutch. I did this so that I could obtain the full flavor of the religious residents of this decadent city. I only understood a few words in the Dutch language, but it didn't matter as I knew the biblical readings the priests were presenting. This was a good experience for me as so much of what I encountered was in position to the words presented in this church.

Simple little chapel, it is worth a step inside to contemplate the religious people who clung to their faith and prayed here for centuries. I visited as part of Rick Steves free "Amsterdam City Walk" audio tour - do a search online to download it!
