Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Diary of Anne Frank was one of my favorite books to read as a child. As a result I knew I had to buy tickets for the tour and the introduction. I enjoyed every bit of it but I was a bit perturbed when the lady who conducted the introduction took offense to me referring to Hitler as a Devil, and in my opinion she defended some of his personality traits (akin to a business man). I found that disappointing and stand by my opinion that he was a Devil.

We made a reservation and paid for our tickets about a month before our arrival. On the day, we were about 45 minutes early...and they were able to let us in. We were very happy, as we had another reservation after for a canal boat-entering early gave us more time.
We have seen Beyond Van Gogh twice (it is an amazing tour thru his life, especially in regards to his brother Theo), and have read many books about his life. Van Gogh was incredible. We really enjoyed this museum. It was a Saturday, and the sign said that they were sold out for the day-so I was glad that we purchased early.
The Temporary exhibit that had just opened was Impressionists. We were thrilled, as Monet is a favorite as well as Impressionistic painting in general.
It was a great day! The museum was packed, with many people wandering everywhere. However, the workers seemed to still be very friendly.
There is an area for lockers to hold coats and bags so that you do not need to carry them thru the museum.

What a wonderful museum (or perhaps art gallery is more appropriate)! Probably the best art gallery I have been in, ever.
    The collection is magnificent.
The building is a dream (and it was only built just over 100 years ago? It felt - in a good way - like it was built 500 years ago. Kudos to the architect).
You will want to book tickets in advance online.
There is a restaurant in the facility - I did not check it out. Nearby there were food trucks and a few eating establishments.

This place is something all adults should experience. It’s was very interesting so see the windows with the women available. The sex shops and the bars in the area. Don’t take your children please!

Took a long stroll around the canals and streets. Delighting in the old architecture of the district with the original canal buildings and quirky museums. Very interesting.

There is no better way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing and walking. Everytime I come to Amsterdam I love a sit down here to listen to the fountains, birds and passers by. well maintained, clean and tidy.

We are not big fans of Heineken Beer in the US...but when in Amsterdam, it is worth a visit to the brewery.
We bought tickets at the door since we were not sure of timing. No problem. We were there about 2:00 on a Friday afternoon.
The tour is fun and we learned a lot. At the end we had tokens for beer. I wish that the rooftop had been open. It was closed for remodel-and opened the day after we visited. The room to drink beer was absolutely packed. Having the rooftop open would have spread out that crowd a bit. The beer tasted good, and other than the room for drinks being packed-we enjoyed our time here.

This is a hidden gem in a busy part of Amsterdam. Fun for children and a nice way to learn something about history and the buildings in the area. Nice small fun stuff if younger kids.

I did the exhibition on my own, as my husband thought it would be too weird. I'd heard lots about it and was really curious. It only took me about an hour to see the whole thing, and I read all the information that was available. It wasn't creepy or gory, just a very informative exhibit about the body and why you should take care of it. There were less "plastinates" or bodies than I thought there would be, however they were really well integrated into the exhibit and helped it make sense. I wouldn't go again, however I am glad I went.

This was a nice thing to do but very overpriced. We got the burgers included in the price of the tickets. Even though the food was tasty it was very difficult to find a table, staff were unhelpful and for a family it was hard work. My husband and son enjoyed the swing.

Good visit to this zoo. Animals are well cared for and staff informative. Quite a few cafes within the zoo. This was a return visit as we were here in 2018.

Stopped to take a picture of the Central Station. Inside are small restaurants and shops. There were people giving out free samples of food sponsored by the train station.

Our flight landed at 8:30 AM, and after a brief stop for breakfast...this is where we chose to begin our Amsterdam exploring.
People involved in the Dutch Resistance were so very brave. Despite the help of the resistance, many Jewish people succumbed to the terror.
This museum is very well organized, and we learned so much. Seeing the Anne Frank museum 2 days later was made so much more impactful by visiting this museum.
Highly recommend a couple of hours to see this museum.

Very good acting by every single actor. Interaction with audience is very good. Everyone had a lot of fun (after the fears...)

    Very well-organized, clean, and engaging.
The staff was very polite, also.
Do not lose the opportunity to imagine Rembrandt's life in his working and living space. Highly recommended!
(Just a suggestion to the Museum: providing the possibility to choose the playback speed on the guided tour would be the golden touch.)
