This was my and my boyfriend’s first cooking class and Beatrice was a wonderful host! She was warm, funny, and encouraging. The food we made was absolutely delicious, and I can’t wait to try making the recipes at home. Thank you so much Bea for a great experience! Also, the wine was excellent ;)

If you’re visiting Lisbon and looking for a unique, hands-on experience, this Portuguese cooking class is an absolute must! My son and I had the most wonderful time learning to cook traditional Portuguese dishes, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The facility itself is stunning—beautifully designed, with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen that made cooking such a pleasure. There’s also a lovely lobby area where you can browse and purchase great souvenirs to remember your experience.

Our host and chef was beyond amazing—kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took his time explaining each dish thoroughly and shared fascinating history and cultural insights about Portuguese cuisine. His passion for cooking was contagious, and he made sure that everyone in the class felt comfortable and engaged.

We got to prepare a delicious three-course meal, experiencing firsthand the flavors and techniques of Portuguese cooking. And as a special touch, we received beautiful aprons with the company logo as a souvenir, making this experience even more memorable.

Above all, this class was such a special bonding experience for me and my son. It was the perfect mix of fun, learning, and amazing food, and we walked away with both great memories and new cooking skills.

Highly, highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Lisbon—whether you’re a foodie, a home cook, or just looking for a fantastic way to immerse yourself in Portuguese culture. A truly five-star experience!

My son and I spent an afternoon with Miguel making pastries de Nata. Miguel was engaging and knowledgeable about baking. Tasty treats. If you want to do something different or to escape the heat, I would recommend this baking class.

Terrific class! My two teenage boys and I had a wonderful time, at the market, cooking, and eating the delicious food. Carla was lovely and taught us a ton. Thank you!

The class was well organized and everyone got to do some hands on stuff. The two instructors were nice and patient. They move along pretty fast. You make pastel de natas and floating islands and get to eat them before you leave with their recipes.

Lovely experience learning, cooking, then socializing. It was easy and quick with the whole group participating. I’m now inspired to make each of these dishes!

It was a fantastic day! We were a group of six. First we toured the market and bought the fish and vegetables for our three course meal. We returned and were introduced to the kitchen and started peeling and chopping — the “prep” work. Everyone got to chat and enjoy sips of Vino
Verdas as we worked. The dessert was prepared first and put in the oven while we started the soup and prepped the fish for the stew. We all learned so much about the proper cleaning of shrimp and filleting fish. And cutting the vegetables just as the chef preferred.
Voila! It was assembled and cooked and soon we sat down to enjoy our first course of kale soup with chorizo. Followed by the fish stew and then… the wonderful orange dessert which was light and fresh.
Chef GUI was great. He answered all of our questions, taught us techniques and shared his good sense of humor and his background.
    It was a terrific experience!
    Thank you.

We recently did the Private Market Tour & Cooking Class with Paula as a family - which included my two children (ages 5 and 10). Paula was absolutely amazing. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating with the kids. She made them feel involved in every step of the cooking process, from choosing ingredients at the market to stirring pots in the kitchen.

The market tour was both fun and informative; Paula gave us insights into local produce and ingredients while also sharing a bit about Portuguese traditions. Once back in her kitchen, she created a relaxed environment where everyone could take part. When my 5 year old son complained about being left out because his sister was doing a task, she was quick to involve him in another cooking task. Plus, we all I learned so much & the food was AMAZING.

This was a memorable experience for our family, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a personal, hands-on cooking class & meal. Thank you, Paula, for making our day so special!

Marta and Ana were incredible instructors who offered an authentic local perspective throughout the cooking experience. They provided cultural and historical insight on the Portuguese cuisine and taught skills we could replicate at home. The recipes were sooooo delicious! And the family style cooking and dining experience was a great way to meet other travelers.

The instruction was hands on and excellent step by step. We're not sure 'Petiscos' is a good title since the portions are so large. First course is a delightful bean and vegetable soup. Then three mains: in our class they were a beef and pickle stir, cod fish fritters (large) and an amazing smoked chorizo. Finished with pastel de nata which we made hands on at the beginning so they could bake and have warm. Lots of food. But all in all a great experience.

One of the highlights of our recent trip was a cooking class in Lisbon at Cooking Lisbon! With our amazing chef Roberta, we created a wonderful authentic Portuguese meal.

Our experience beginning with our personalized group booking with Filipe to eating our freshly made dinner with Roberta was exceptional.

A great venue with lots of good food, good wine and wonderful friends, can’t ask for anything more!

We loved this workshop with Filipa! It was so much fun and definitely a must if you're in Lisbon. We happened to have a small class with just the two of us and Filipa, so we got to participate in most of the process of making the pastéis de nata and the Sintra pillows. Boy, it's quite a bit of work that goes into making these pastries but Filipa made it all seem easy...and the results were sooo delicious. One of the best pastel de nata that we had on our trip...freshly baked right out of the oven. The workshop takes place in the shop and there's so much goodies to try there too!
