Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic experience with my family and kids (teens 13 and 15)
Filipe was an extraordinary instructor and we had a lot of fun
Afterwards, the kids asked for more, so.. the activity was a success
Thank you Filipe for this awesome and life changing experience

Guide speaks great English. I accidentally booked two sessions and he easily and quickly got me a refund right away for one session. He gave good tips and all around was a great time!

My friend had never been surfing and I am an experienced surfer. (Hard boards are available.) The water is cold (shockingly) so be prepared to wear a full suit.

Leo was a great instructor! Super friendly and my friend was able to get up on her first wave! It was nice to get out of the city for the day and see the beach. I would highly recommend.

The museum, which is connected to an old church, is breathtakingly beautiful and well curated. The museum includes tiles that are over 500 years old and shows the process of tile-making, even including several stations for people with moderate to severe vision impairments. Most of the signage is in both Portuguese and English.

The museum takes viewers from the early days of tile-making to the present and includes a whole section of 20th- and 21st-century artists. There is even a huge mural depicting Lisbon from before the 1755 earthquake.

The cafe is large and has indoor and outdoor seating as well as plenty of dining options, from tea and snacks to larger lunch ideas.

I'm not sure there's much for children to do or see; I didn't spot any kids during my visit.

If you are in Lisbon and you are looking for a surf school book here! They are amazing, the team is very attentive, helpful, kind and is very very very fun. I was alone and felt part of them. They helped me from the beginning with the transfer upon my arrival back to the hotel!!! I cannot thank enough them for the experience, a very big hug to the team and ciao da Roberta. Keep it up! You are the best 👌 💯

The three-hour night photography walking tour I took with Miguel and another photographer helped improve my photography.

We meandered through various neighborhoods in and around Lisbon’s central district and up and down its hilly terrain.

We snapped photos of everything from wonderful cityscapes below, to people dining on the streets and squares, to dark alleys with graffiti murals. I got to see pockets of the city I don’t think I would have on my own.

If I had a question, Miguel had an answer. He helped me learn how to better navigate and use my new Sony a74. Even though I’m an experienced photographer, my weakness has always been shooting in low light. Miguel suggested I switch from shooting strictly in manual mode to shutter priority.
At one point, we stood for a time taking photos of street trolleys passing by so I could work on improving my ability to capture motion blur. During the rest of my trip through Portugal, I shot in shutter priority and my night photos looked much improved.

If I can take just one helpful tip away from tours like this, it’s worth it to me. Thanks to Miguel, I’m more equipped to take better low-light shots.

The Cacilhas tour with Miguel is essential once you have done his other tours in Lisbon. From Cais Sodre, we stopped at a pier with views of the April 25 bridge before boarding the ferry to Cacilhas. Once across we walked along the waterfront from the docks to Quinta da Arealva. Other points of interest are the panoramic views of the bridge and Lisbon and the local town and market. I greatly enjoyed the morning walk with Miguel and appreciate his valuable instruction and ideas for meaningful images.

Carlos was a very gracious and engaging host! He picked us up and stayed with us while we did both the tile painting tour and class, as well as the Azeitao Wine Cellar tour. Both activities were well worth the money and we had a lovely time. We even had some extra time, and were treated with an espresso and pastry. Carlos was super fun to have as our host and guide! I would highly recommend!

Humberto provides a very intimate and comfortable experience for those who want to experience Fado and really learn about the History and the meaning of the music. The musicians were incredibly talented and kind. On top of it, the food was so good that Humberto prepared for us. Well worth the money!

We took a surf & life lesson with Pedro in Caparica.
First, he has been flexible for the location of the pick-up.
Then as a coach he was very patient and efficient. In fact, one of us was a beginner and Pedro took a lot of dedication to help him ride his first wave :)
    Amazing experience !

My friend and I did the yoga and surfing experience. It was so so good. Sofia was great as a yoga instructor and Nuno is fun to go surfing with, good in explaining what your doing and how to improve your surfing skills. Definitely worth your time to fit this in you trip to Lisbon ! I had never done either of them, I enjoyed it so much more then I thought I would. They will also give you tips for other activities around lisbon
