Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- CuddsHolyhead, UK7,434 contributionsA marvel of architectural brilliance and a beacon for all in Portugal not just Lisbon .We loved it hope you like our attached photographsWritten 16 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA19,461 contributionsWe viewed this bridge when we visited the Parque dos Nacoes near the Oriente train station. It crosses a very wide part of the Taugus estuary and provides an important link between the Lisbon metro area and eastern Portugal. Most of the bridge is low, but there is a tall section to work with the ships that pass beneath.Written 1 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Herbert C1,948 contributionsIf you want to admire the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge from a special vantage point, a visit to the Pilar 7 Experience is a must. Located at the 7th pylon (the bridge has 14 pillars in total) near the LX Factory complex, this attraction includes a museum with exhibits on the history, construction and engineering of the bridge, as well as an observation deck. You can also catch a glimpse of the multitudes of cables which are strung together to make up the gigantic cable supporting the bridge. The highlight attraction is of course the 80 metres high observation deck, which can supposedly be reached via the elevator, but unfortunately the elevator has not been functioning for quite a while now. Left with no choice, we have to climb up the wide staircases of the pillar, equivalent to a 26 storeys building, before reaching the observation deck for unique views above the river, at the same level of the bridge's upper deck and over the city. Entry is free with the Lisboa Card, plus it's usually not as crowded as the Belem attractions, so it's definitely worth spending a couple of hours in this area to cover both the Pilar 7 Experience and LX Factory.Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - malc1005Kettering, UK5,504 contributionsA nice bridge, over the road, in Lisbon, one of a couple of interesting bridges and Aquaduct. Well worth a look.Written 11 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- bluebay06La Spezia, Italy2,692 contributionsWe used this overpass to go from Tram 15 stop to Belem Tower. It is a long pedestrian overpass that allows you to pass Avenida da India, Avenida Brasilia and the railway line which is located between the two. To return to the Jerónimos Monastery we instead used the pedestrian underpass that connects the square where Padrão dos Descobrimentos is located with Praça do Império Garden. Surely the Passadiço do Bom Sucesso is a necessary overpass, but I don't think it can be considered a tourist attraction in Lisbon.Written 14 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
